Downtown Vancouver accommodation with hot tub in room

I chose this hotel because I have stayed here many times over the years with my guide dogs. Historically, I have always been treated extremely well—just like any other guest. The staff are usually very well aware of the province's regulations and know how to act around service animals. The hotel is centrally located, the beds and bedding are wonderful, and the coffee shop is great and well-stocked. I also deeply appreciate that they provide dog dishes so I don't have to pack them. However, we faced two major issues during this specific stay. First, the two dog bowls delivered to my room were dirty—one had crusty bits, and the other had a palpable ring and smudges from previous use. Second, and more concerning, we experienced segregation at the restaurant. Despite informing staff that my dog is a guide service dog, the server made us sit in the entryway, visibly separating us from the main dining room. While we were not refused service and the service itself was good, being relegated to a "dog area" with a working service animal was wrong and upsetting. I hope management corrects this training gap so they can return to their usual high standards.

Located was perfect for our stay. Very close to the train station making getting from the airport and around town super easy. Also very close to Stanley park, gastown and downtown. Staff at check in and house keeping were very friendly. Unfortunately our sheets were stained but the service team quickly rectified this and compensated us with a free breakfast which was very appreciative. The service as ocean 999 was subpar. We felt like we were ignored. We had to go up and asked multiple times to be given a cup or tea or coffee. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
