The place is old with really old windows so in the morning you can hear everything which woke me up every morning. We had high winds that rattled the window. I would love to come back to the place and see it renovated. The people running it was lovely. The location and price was awesome. The hosts are lovely, but the property is in dire need of a revamp. The bathroom was so small it is difficult to even get in the shower. The shower height was at my chin and my husband’s chest! The carpets are possibly still there from 1940! Whilst the room was clean and smelled like bleach on arrival the cups and items in the cupboards were so filthy I wasn’t even game to wash and then use! No notification that the only way to the the top floor was stairs! And quite narrow and steep ones at that! The area has no cafes or anywhere reasonable to eat (other than a couple of great evening restaurants - Indian and Italian). We walked for an hour on a Saturday morning and couldn’t find one cafe that was open for breakfast! The one that we eventually found was expensive, the items were all wrapped in bread or pastry and there was limited choice. Will definitely just go back to staying in the city proper next time!

Bed hard as a rock. Hotel not suitable for us after a medical procedure, ok for a short stay but city centre quite close and we chose to move and stay there for not much more money.
