The room was very good. The only thing is that we were charged a “destination fee which I didn’t know about. That really put a damper on a very good stay . It would have been fine if either Expedia or the hotel told me up front. Also I was suppose to get a 20% discount on the restaurant food and I did not . Apparently the destination fee includes a 20% discount but I did not get it .

Air-conditioned was in balcony lots of noise. When i compare with the other hotels in downtown Santa Monica( i checked ) was near ocean Hyatt hotel was too expensive. I like Hot tub too.staff was very good.i will go travel 12 times per year next times Thank you

Good location to be able to walk to the pier or Venice beach. Rooms decent size and fairly clean (carpets stained in places) lacking plug points near the bed, balcony lights not working, make up mirror not working. Would benefit from tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Pool ok but small so can get crowded Not on par to Hyatt hotels normal standards.

My room wasn’t ready when I got there at 3:30, so I was told my valet parking would be comped. When I checked out, it was not taken off, I simply inquired about this at the desk and they took it off my bill. I was a bit shocked at the 300$ hold, that seemed excessive, but overall it was a very pleasant weekend and I look forward to staying at this hotel again.

Staff was lovely and the hotel lobby is adorable. The room was a little dated, but we didn't spend much time in it.
