Accommodation In Gold Coast Hinterland
Tucked in behind the busy beaches and waters of the Gold Coast awaits the serene and beautiful Gold Coast Hinterlands. Full of scenic drives and great walks through quaint villages, green valleys, lush rainforests and past spectacular waterfalls, this truly is nature’s paradise. Get booking your Gold Coast Hinterland accommodation with us today.
Just 30 minutes from the bustling Gold Coast strip, the various National Parks and rainforest reserves tout sights, smells and sounds that will both excite and relax you at the same time. Lamington National Park is a mix of sub-tropical rainforest, ancient beech forest and dry eucalypt forest and of course, amazing views. There are many walking tracks to immerse yourself in here, so remember to bring your joggers! The Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk is a three-day hike from here into Springbrook National Park, where you’ll discover waterfalls, lush rainforest, rugged gorges and remnants of early foresting history. Whatever you do don’t miss the Natural Bridge, a peculiar geological feature where eager eyes may spot glow worms!
But it’s not all about the views, though they are magnificent. The charming villages complete the region, full of artisan stores, cute cafes, local galleries and gourmet produce. Around Tamborine Mountain, which was once a giant volcano, you’ll find a number of wineries and the award-winning Tamborine Mountain Distillery which offers a great range of liqueurs and spirits. Fresh local produce is often on sale at farm and village stalls dotted throughout the countryside. Tamborine is also home to Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk set amongst the treetops of 30 acres of rainforest with a creek and rock pools below. Ok, so the views really are a big deal.
Getting to the Gold Coast Hinterlands is easy from the Gold Coast and there are well marked signs to help you find the half-hour journey. It could take longer depending on which particular area you want to explore. The hinterlands are also easily accessible from nearby Brisbane, in just over an hour, and from northern NSW towns down towards Byron Bay. The best way to really soak up the serenity of this beautiful natural setting is to stay overnight and wake up to birdsong the next morning. So count yourself lucky we have a range of Gold Coast Hinterland hotels, cottages and retreats to give you ample time to unwind and explore.
