Stunning facilities, beautifully-designed room, gorgeous ocean view. Downside was how slow service was everywhere. No sense of urgency with lines of people in que to check in. The cocktails in the bar were amazing but bar was severely understaffed so it was quite stressful ordering drinks and made it not so enjoyable. The other big downside was air-con automatically shut off at 2am, so my husband and I both woke up and couldn't sleep in stuffy hot room. For the $740 we paid for the room, I think we more than covered the electricity for the air-con overnight.

The room and hotel is beautiful, we stayed two nights- the second night was the night of our wedding and we came back to find the room had not been cleaned or made up , even after specially asking for this to be done. I had been getting ready with my bridesmaids so the room was a mess. My poor husband didn’t get to enjoy a clean and fresh room unfortunately

Staff made this a lovely stay. Just the right balance between luxury and informal. Location is great. Right on the beach but dining options are a little limited unless you’re willing to walk a bit. Beautiful hotel and facilities with fabulous view of the beach. However the service was hit & miss. Reception staff and housekeeping exceptionally prompt and helpful. Bar and restaurant (Akoya) service was not consistently up to snuff for a 5 star hotel, I do not expect to carry my own drinks (between bar and our dining table( in a 5 star hotel and I was somewhat nonplussed when the waitress handed me our bottle of water to take with me on our way from the bar to dinner. On arrival at Akoya they had no record of our booking but the restaurant was not busy so we were seated. We were asked if it was a special occasion and told the maitre D it was my birthday - but nothing was done to mark the occasion. Service very slow considering it was a quiet night; food was excellent however. On balance it was a good stay but there is scope to improve aspects of the service to meet 5 star standards

We love The Langham! The beds were less comfortable than our last stay.. food is amazing as always and the children loved the quietness of the hotel
