Nice hotel and staff but the pool was shut when we were there which was disappointing. You could use other hotel pools but given we were only there for a stopover over night this wasn't feasible. Otherwise, a nice place in good location.
When I booked, I made some requests for my room, which they actually listened to! The staff were all very friendly and helpful - although don't believe the guy who says that starbucks isn't open at 7:30. It is. I'd stay here again.

A beautiful hotel in a Chinese style close to Chinatown, the night club area, Maxwell food hall and the MRT. Fantastic and friendly staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Some rooms have no window, but the suite we were upgraded to was Opulent in name and opulent in nature. Looking forward to going back.

Stayed two nights in room overlooking club st. Surprisingly quiet at night. Decor and interior design, stunning. Bed fantastic, opening windows, ac, furnishings perfect. Room intro was fantastic, they are justifiably proud of their hotel. Breakfast continental with choice from menu. Was very good. Coffee also good. Staff all polite, helpful, happy and attentive.
We had a Heritage Porch room, 2 adults and one 3 year old. Very comfortable, room size with porta-cot was not a problem as we were out exploring most of the day. The fantastic reception staff helped with all our needs, nothing was too much. Hopefully we'll be back again!

Had a great stay, wanted to take the King-size bed home it was so comfortable! Facilities were very good, nice big room. Staff were very friendly helpful. Wide range of foods for the Buffet. Has the Tanjong Plaza and meat, fruit & veg market right behind the hotel. MRT station across the park and Chinatown a short distance away. Very central. Lots of small eating places and bars at the base of the Hotel.
Chinatown is a maze of streets packed with colorful pre-war shophouses selling bric-a-brac, clothing, antiques and Chinese herbs. Expect good bargains along Tengganu, Temple, and Pagoda Streets, and the best food on Smith Street. The big malls are located along New Bridge Road. Visit Chinatown Heritage Center, see the ornamental Sri Mariamman Hindu temple, or hop on a trishaw for a tour.
