hotel close to Little India and Bugis Street

Pros: the service of the Bell boys
Cons: perhaps a concierge on each floor for better comunication
Location: close vicinity to MRT, Bugis st and Little India
was not impressed with the Check-in person. the first thing he said after searching for 5 min. "can't find your booking" This is not what you want to hear after a 12h flight at 8am in the morning! He did eventually find it and gave us the room. We were advised by the hotel that an early check-in is not guaranteed and that we better book and pay for an additional day. We did this as we landed at 6am and needed a bed to stretch out and sleep. when checking-out we did complain that on the first day we did not get any room service eg) New towels, coffee etc.after notifying the Concierge. Note we did pay a full days rate for the extra 6 hours sleep! The concierge Justin offered that he would look after us the next time! not sure if we would like to go there a second time.

Great location

Location: 10 minute walk from Bugis junction shopping, restaurants and train station
Great value for money. Standard room was very small but clean and manageable. Gym was like a sauna the air con was nowhere near comfortable for working out.staff very friendly and helpful.

Cheap Hotel

A relatively cheap hotel at the north end of the city, still a walkable distance to shops and nightlife. The bedroom is very small but the hotel is new and "nice". The mini bar is not stocked. Overall it was an easy stay.

Good location

Rooms were tiny. Bed was very hard, only provided one pillow each... did bring us more pillows when requested. Desk staff were pretty disinterested and not very friendly but they were extremely busy. Hotel was in a good location though and staff at entrance helpful with bags & obtaining taxis.

New modern facilities but paper thin walls

Pros: The swimming pool area was the easy standout to this hotel, beautiful area.
Cons: Sound proofing desperately needs to be improved, that would be the only thing preventing me from staying again.
Location: 10 minute walk from Bugis Junction or 1 stop on the MR, Lavender MRT is a two minute walk. Haji Lane is also very close by.
Very well presented and modern new hotel. The pool area on the 4th floor is beautiful and a standout to what is offered at Hotel Boss. Excellent proximity to MRT and being a high transit hotel there is always a taxi on the taxi rank ready to take you wherever you need to be. Unfortunately in the design of the hotel, client comfort came last, the rooms (queen bed in our case) are tiny and there is absolutely no sound proofing, its like the walls are paper thin - you can hear everyone down the hallways and constantly water gushing from whoever is using the toilet/shower. Avoid the hotels restaurants as there is a foodclique foodhall outside the building offering a great range of cheap and delicious food along with a bistro and a seafood shack. This could have easily been a 4 star review but I'm afraid the crammed in nature of the rooms and constantly disturbed sleep give it a cheap feel.

You get what you pay for

Pros: Price.
Cons: The hallways are old and tired and the amount of noise that permeates into the room from the hall is unacceptable
Location: Location is sufficiently convenient.
This hotel was quite cheap and really lived up to expectations. If you just need a place to sleep at night and are not too worried about your size and plushness of your room then this is an ideal place. Even though I had read the other reviews, I was a little surprised at the size of the rooms though not disappointed as the other reviews had given a good idea - there is nothing like a low expectation. I don't know what the story is with the amount of sound that permeates from the hallway into the room - the room door is solid so it must have something to do with the ceiling space not being adequately insulated! Again the other reviews had warned of this situation which left me prepared so I just rolled with it. The mini-mart downstairs is convenient as is Lavender MRT station (which has better shops) so no complaints about location. It is also a very nice and easy 30 minute walk along the canal to Orchard Rd (easy to get to Dhoby Ghaut MRT). So overall a "get what you pay for" experience. I'd stay here again if on a budget but not if on business.

Convenient and close to the train station. Rooms were quaint and clean. Staff were not particularly friendly and rooms were rather small. Good for a short cheap stay.
