Ladies catch up

We stayed at The Radisson due to it's convenience to York Centre. Reception was efficient and friendly. Breakfast was lovely. However, at the one meal we had in the hotel restaurant, service was slow and one of our meals was burnt and had to be re done. In one of our rooms the sink was blocked and smelt awful, though the other 2 were okay. Also, my door key only worked intermittently and I was constantly trekking to reception to have it re-callibrated.

Absolutely atrocious stay at the Radisson. Sewage smell coming out of the bathroom all night affecting our sleep. We only booked for one night and when asked if could move rooms, we were told no rooms were available. Absolutely shocking.

Disappointing

We booked 2 rooms for 2 couples in standard double rooms. Firstly, I must say the staff were very nice and helpful. However, the hotel is dated and could do with freshening up. All the corridors were very cold, In the rooms the bathrooms have no heating and are cold and the TV’s didn’t have a signal in either room. The hotel staff did try to fix the TV without success.

The outlook of the buoding looked run down, flags on the flag poles was torn up. It was not a great fiest impression. In the hotel its self it was well decorated and nice inside, breakfast was great. The hotel room was below standard of a raddison. Ok decorated. There where many things broken in the room and missing cover plates. The worst part the windows did not seal and allowed the wind in. If it wasnt for the heavy curtins we would of left.

I was put in room 700 which is right next to the lifts which was constantly noisy. There were no towels in my room so I had to ring down to reception. The room really needs a lick of paint and a deep clean

The hotel is in a fantastic riverside location and only ten minutes walk from York Minster and town centre facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was spotless, calm and comfortable. The car park was rather tricky to negotiate as it was so narrow and breakfast was a little bit disappointing compared to other Radisson hotels I've stayed in due to the layout of the hotel, our room was quite a walk and the view was of heating pipes on a roof. This wasn't really an issue at all as we were only staying one night.. all in all, I'd recommend this hotel and would use it again

Hotel was nice and clean and ideal with being in the town centre had a nice view of the river from are room the only bad thing I can say was the charge for car parking and the hotel only holds 25 cars so then you have to try and get a space at the ncp car park around the corner
