Spent a weekend here with my partner and 16 month old. Thought it would be handy being so close to the beach & liked the idea of being close to Auckland but not in it. Greeted by lovely relief managers with a herbal tea on arrival. A great place to stay!
We stay here often because the rooms are large and facilities excellent. Parking used to be free, but is now $10 per night, which we were happy to pay.
One surprise this time was no bath - something I like when on holiday - and will choose one hotel over another for.
Only small criticism would be the deck needed a clean for mildrew etc, and the neighbour had put food waste out on their deck in plastic bags ??? The view was great, except for the rubbish visible on the next door deck.
As I was running in the Auckland Marathon I chose to stay at Quest Albany because it is within walking distance of the Albany Bus Station, the northern most pick up point for buses heading to the Devonport start line. When you have to get up at 3am in the morning, quiet surroundings are really important so you can get a good nights sleep. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was at Quest Albany even when we had the window open for fresh air during the night. I had the best night's sleep I've ever had before a marathon! Everything we needed was either in the apartment or in the village. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Quest Albany.
Our Whangaparaoa accommodation lets you enjoy this wonderful beachside part of New Zealand.
Just south of Orewa and 35 kilometres north of Auckland lies Whangaparaoa Peninsula. The peninsula lies in an easterly direction and is lined with beaches both sandy and rocky bays and stretches about 14 kilometres. Red Beach is the first Bay which has a sandy bay with rocky edgings. Red Beach has a surf lifesaving club too.
Stay in our Whangaparaoa hotels and explore the surrounding areas. Stanmore Bay is a little further down. This is also a beautiful sandy beach and not too far from Whangaparaoa’s Pacific Plaza shopping mall. The next bay is Little Manly on the southern shores. This is a small sandy beach lined with Pohutukawa trees which offers excellent shade on those hot sunny days.
Our Whangaparaoa hotel accommodation is perfectly positioned for you to set of and explore the many beautiful bays on offer.
Over the hill off Beach Road is Manly Beach, a lot larger and more popular than Little Manly. Tindals Beach is next and if you continue along the last stretch of road will take you to Shakespeare Park and Army Bay, Te Haruhi Bay and Okoromai Bay.
There is lots to see and do and our Whangaparaoa accommodation lets you soak up all the sites!
