Breakfast on the first day was terrible, The chef who made my eggs was playing with his nose and then dipping his fingers into the poached eggs to check, then when I received my eggs they were raw, cut into and the whites were clear and raw, could not eat, no scramble eggs available, hit choc from the machine was only heated milk with froth no chocolate to be seen, second day no pineapple juice available., but the other chef on Sunday was fabulous and made scrambled eggs to order and was pleasantly chatty

Really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Grand Chancellor! The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, and the bed was super comfortable — perfect after a long day out. They had a room ready for us a little early and it was huge! (Compared to everything we'd stayed in in Australia and New Zealand so far). The bed was a nice king size with a great pillow top and very comfortable, we had a view of the Sky Tower and the water, the bathroom was large, and there was plenty of drawer space for us to truly unpack and settle in. There's a great little cafe downstairs for a quick breakfast and the front desk staff was very helpful in giving us directions for how to get around town.

Parking is off site and requires negotiating steep busy streets (and a downpour of rain walking back). Google searches and uber searches all select the ‘other’ grand chancellor in Hobson street - we were delivered there with our luggage first! Very inconvenient. When we spoke to reception staff about this we were told ‘ yes many of our customers get confused’. A tray of room service was left outside our room all night (we ate at 7.30pm). And our room was not serviced when we returned after being out from 8am til 2.30pm.
