This is a beautiful property, and is very family friendly. My family and I stayed for a week and enjoyed everything about our stay. My 12 and 8 year had a great time. The beach was great, and there were many activities for kids of all ages. I highly recommend this resort for families. My only suggestion is that dinner reservations fill up fast so make your reservations as soon as you arrive.

PROS: We enjoyed the whole resort. It wasn't too small or too big. The rooms were super spacious, clean, and safe. The beds were amazing. The extra bathroom off the kitchen was so nice. The balconies were so spacious with the tables and hammocks. The washer and dryer was an added plus to come home with clean clothes. All the restaurants were great, but you need a reservation to any restaurant except the buffet. The buffet is the only place to eat for breakfast, but it is exceptional. It is not open for dinner on Thursday or Friday evenings.The food and drinks were delicious everywhere. CONS: The biggest con at this all inclusive resort was having to sign your name and room number on a receipt every time you ordered food or drinks anywhere. Even though you are at an All-Inclusive resort, they require you to do this. On each receipt is a line for adding additional gratuity. However, it states when you make the reservations that the resort is an all inclusive resort and ALL tips and gratuities are included. We noticed as the week went on that if you did tip they remembered and gave you better service. If you didn't tip, they remembered too, and it showed. I feel like tipping should be something that is optional to do on your own, not on a receipt multiple times a day. In addition, the beach is full of seaweed, but they do clean it constantly. The workout room is down on the basement level and smelled musty. Every morning all the lounge chairs at the pool are reserved by 7AM.

I booked a trip through the Expedia site to Villa del Palmer for myself, husband, adult daughter and 3 minor children. When I filled out the amount of people and their age it auto generates prices based on that. However, here's where my concern is, when I checked into the resort, I had to pay an additional $1200 USD for my 17-year-old and my 15-year-old because they are not counted as children. At the end of the day, I understood, and thank goodness I had the money. I’m still upset there seems to be a booking distinction with the resort and Expedia and I have to pay for it. I’m not even sure what would make this right, as I was not expecting to pay MORE. Please take this serious as you never know who’s traveling and they may not have the funds. Expedia reached out to Villa del Palmer Resort, but the resort never responded.

I loved the people working there. The moment you walk in the front door the people are very accommodating. Just watch out for the sales pitch. They did not take no very well. 1.5 hour sales pitch turned into 2 plus.

Disappointed with Customer Service & Dining at Villa Del Palmar I’ve been a loyal guest of Villa Del Palmar for years, but this trip for my wife’s birthday and our anniversary was disappointing. We couldn’t get dinner reservations because restaurants were fully booked days in advance—if that’s the case, the resort shouldn’t accept more guests than it can accommodate. I spoke with a manager, Daniel, who promised to follow up but never did. When I followed up myself, I was told he had already left. The lack of accountability was frustrating. The dining experience was also underwhelming. The Mexican restaurant’s new menu isn’t as good as before, and despite requesting less oil, my food arrived drenched in it. If I wanted to eat in my room, I could’ve stayed in my own town and booked a luxury hotel. I paid for a great experience, but the service and dining didn’t meet expectations. Villa Del Palmar needs to improve if they want to keep loyal guests returning.

We had a magical vacation. The staff is AMAZING, so kind and remember you! On our last day the concierge came to make sure our son caught the fish he wanted so bad and he got to tell them all about it. Its BEAUTIFUL!

Great resort that is family friendly. I traveled with a group of 8 total, one being a child under the age of 7. There were many swimming pool areas. One of which seemed to be warmed, which was nice. There are also many Jacuzzis spread around the swimming pool area which was also nice. The resort has an inflatable bouncy house on the Ocean in shallow waters, which was a great touch for the children and adults. They offered kayaking and paddle boarding with life jackets at no additional cost. The food in the buffet was just OK. The "cuisine" restaurants were a lot better. Be advised, that if you have the all-inclusive, they give you "receipts" to sign. They are not an actual charge, but rather a paper trail for their internal purposes. My husband didnt know this when he went to grab a few drinks at the bar and ended up paying for the drinks thinking he was being charged. Just an FYI. Everyday, they placed snacks in your room at no cost and stocked it with refreshments and beer. This is a great family resort but lacks much entertainment for adults. It is also a bit of a distance from the airport compared to the Hotel Zone hotels, but you know this when you look at it on the map. They do offer shuttle service options to and from the airport, which we took advantage of for decently priced fee. Overall, a great resort.

I went with my fam (me, son & wifey on jan 2025 for 4 days. After we pay in full when was booked. On the checking I was charge $500 as hotel deposit wich was never return. My wife and I been calling requesying the $500 deposit and still in this days the been telling us that it will be return in 7days & as Nice and big rooms, service is bad, waitress dont pay attention on the pool area unless you call showing tips on you hand. In the Beach area you cant even smoke cigar by myself. All inclusive Food is limited and the menu is small and you have to pay for manu things that other all-inclusive resort have it include, here you need to pay extra

The facility and resources were great. The concierge staff didn't help me when I lost my eye glasses, they had an attitude I didn't care for. I specifically asked for a quiet room and it was a hassle to change rooms after a bad night. Food options at dinner were limtied but room service in all inclusive options were fantastic
