Waited at the Bar at the STAR POOL for 10 min.. no one even ask us anything, and there was a menu there, we finally had to interrupt the bar tender and ask for a order.. and was told we had to be on a lounger.. guess what there was none.. Then we tried to order pizza at the ilttalin rest. only to say. they were not taking orders for 20 min.. came back in 20 there were 25+ people in line trying to order pizza... we then said lets go over to the STAR buffet... NOPE closed at 2:00 .. I will not return or recommend .. Also our butler screwed up our Xplore trip, woke up a 5am.. had a resv number.. but bus driver said we weren't on the list.. then it was full, we asked for them to take us by taxi.. but they refused to pay... and said.. we reschueld of the next day.. weill had to go to bed early again to wake up at 5... lots or rude people especially if you dont leave them a tip.. Ill find another vacation next year.. Will not be back ever... GOOD LUCK

We’ve stayed at many resorts, and while this one wasn’t terrible, it also wasn’t great—it just wasn’t for us. This review isn’t meant to discourage anyone, but rather to offer an honest take so others can decide for themselves. That said, one thing I can’t stress enough: the staff here are some of the hardest working people I’ve ever encountered. Their dedication and kindness really helped carry the experience. The food was your typical resort fare—not bad, not amazing—but there were several options. Room service is available 24/7, but the menu was limited and just okay. Our go-to spots were the steakhouse and the sports bar. A few downsides: our in-room water was never refilled during our four-day stay. We had to repeatedly ask for more, which got old quickly. We also didn’t feel the Star Class upgrade was worth it—the main “perk” was access to top-shelf liquor, which you’re better off grabbing at duty-free on your way in. Trust me, bring your own bottled water too—you’ll thank me later. The drinks were very weak and watered down. If you’re traveling with kids, there’s a lot for them to do. We stayed on the family side in a swim-out suite, and I definitely recommend requesting a dehumidifier at check-in—it’ll come in handy. The beach was gorgeous and there was plenty of seating. This was our first visit to Cancun and loved it! The only complaint was the beach area. We went out to the beach after breakfast one morning to spend the day, and there were dirty dishes you could tell were from the night prior on almost all the Planet Hollywood chairs, along with sand all over them. None of them had been cleaned. We went right back up to the pool area to spend the day. No other guests were down there. This was about 8 a.m.

We just got back from planet Hollywood and we had the best stay!! The grounds were beautiful with a white sand beach. Our room was clean and nice and cool(almost cold) and didn't have any issues with dampness. The food was great but the main positive of this resort was the staff. They were all absolutely amazing!! Friendly, attentive and engaged!! We would definitely consider returning to this resort in the future!!

Great family resort with lots of activities. Food was good just about everywhere. The only downsides we had were: -making reservations for dinner was tough, and when we did eat at the restaurants they were not full -beautiful room with lots of issues (broken shower knob, broken shower heads, clogged shower drain, broken coffee maker, broken toilet, leaking and loose faucets. The good news is the staff fixed everything quickly.

I recently stayed at Planet Hollywood Resort and had a mixed experience. The resort itself is clean and visually appealing, but there were a few letdowns. The food was underwhelming overall—lacking in flavor and variety. Some staff members were fantastic and really went above and beyond, while others seemed disinterested or unmotivated. I was also surprised by the limited range of activities available, which made the days feel a bit repetitive. It’s a decent place to relax, but I expected more from a resort with such a big name.
