The receptionist on our arrival was very friendly and welcoming. All staff were. The room we had was very clean, comfortable and warm. I'd recommend this hotel to everyone heading to Whakapapa. The only thing that I do have a gripe about is when we went to dinner in the restaurant. I had to pay separately for everything. Yes. Pre dinner drinks. Starters. Mains and dessert. But other than that. The meals were very good.

The twin room was spacious and ensuite bathroom could be so much better if have selves and more hanging hooks, had to go outside passageway to get to room. Friendly staff and the dining in was great. Unfortunately the weather was not favourable and mountains 🏔️ in clouds but we did enjoyed the drive up the Whakapapa valley

Rooms are comfortable and cosy. Oil heater kept the rooms warm and when off, room kept it’s temperature. Value for money with a great restaurant in the complex if required. A good base if you are wanting to be close to activities and the mountains.

This was a very good property. Room was large and clean. Nice amenities. All the staff was eager to help and their food was very good we recommend trying the chef specials…way more food than we could eat and it was really good. One downside was there was no lift and we had large suitcase for each of us.

Cozy alpine stopover

Third time staying here as it has been a convenient stopover on long drives to charge the EV. Unfortunately the hotel EV charger was out of action, I hope this will be reinstated
