The room was hot and stuffy, we opened the door but closed it at night for security. Would be good to have heating and cooling in the room. Staff were good, helpful and informative. The hallway up to our room was narrow and no lift to the 1st floor, carrying luggage up the stairs which was heavy made it hard. Otherwise bed was goid and place was clean but the fan wasnt working in the bathroom.

The only downside was that we were next to a room being renovated. This did not spoil the view from the room and the closeness to the lake. Absolutely loved it.

We stayed in one of the new refurbished rooms with a view of the lake and it was absolutely perfect! Ideal to have two beds when travelling with a child, very clean, warm and comfortable. Beautiful bathroom and excellent on site facilities. The lounge with the cosy fire was so nice and breakfast was huge and delicious! Definitely don't let negative reviews put you off. Obviously we don't know what the older rooms are like, but I cannot fault the refurbished room.
