**5-Star Review – Novotel Melbourne Airport** This has instantly become one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world. From the moment we arrived to the moment we (reluctantly) left, everything was flawless. At check-in we were offered a suite upgrade for just $40 – we jumped at it and it was worth every cent. The suite was spacious, immaculately presented and genuinely felt luxurious. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff. During our stay the airport was in chaos with multiple flight cancellations, meaning the lobby was packed with frustrated passengers and queues stretching out the door. Despite this, every single team member – especially the incredible women on the front desk – kept smiling, stayed calm and worked non-stop to get everyone checked in as quickly as possible. Their professionalism and genuine kindness under pressure was nothing short of remarkable. The on-site restaurants are outstanding; the quality of the food easily rivals any five-star city hotel (the tiramisu is legitimately one of the best I’ve ever had). Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and very enjoyable. Don’t be deterred by the airport location – the soundproofing is excellent, the convenience is unbeatable, and the overall experience is far superior to many “downtown” luxury hotels. The Novotel Melbourne Airport is now our undisputed number-one choice whenever we’re in Melbourne. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Not the fault of the Novotel but there was road work outside and you couldn’t park outside the front door or the the road anywhere out front we did manage to stop and ask a staff member who was sitting out the other side she was helpful - roading staff were very unhelpful

Very close to airport and easy to walk to. But at check in we were not informed of the amenities so we didn't know about the gym and sauna. We had to ask about these later in a separate trip to the front desk. We had to go to the front desk because the phone in our room was not working. Also the remote control for the TV was not tas well.

We requested and paid for a room upgrade on arrival. At checkout, we were advised that no further payment was required. However, later that same day, I noticed an additional charge on our credit card for the room upgrade. This means we have been charged twice for the same service. This is a serious error and a clear misuse of credit card management by this establishment. I find it very concerning that such a mistake could occur.
