Safe, spotless, superbly serviced hotel tucked around the corner on a secluded quiet beach just around the corner from the main stretch of Cancun. Ideally located, with beautiful common areas and hotel amenities. Also has the nicest hotel gym I have ever seen (which even has a functional fitness studio with assault runner, echo bike, rower, plyo boxes and pull-up rig). Highly recommend.

The best part to me was they had beautiful ocean I ever seen. Food just average. Room was nice and clean .

The actual building is old and fairly run down. Mold in the showers probably due to no fan or ventilation in the bathroom. As soon as we walked through the doors, tired, jet-lagged and just eager to lay down and we were ambushed by what I thought was our porter taking us to our room but instead was a 20 minute sales pitch to join some kind of club they had for frequent travelers or buy a timeshare or whatever I don't even remember (despite telling him several times this was our first and probably only trip to Mexico). He was very aggressive in pushing this on every family checking in as we noticed during the week. Luckily I read that many other people have complained about this and I was ready for him, I tipped him 15$ just to get us to leave us alone and told him "we are not going to do this but thank you" They have a restaurant reservations booth (you must make theses reservations like a week in advance so be aware) but we were encouraged to use the buffet, I still made a couple of reservations and the Cuban steakhouse. This was the best restaurant we've ever been to hands down. It rained the entire week we were there unfortunately (not the Resorts fault of course) But they seem really unprepared for hosting guests inside. There were no activities, no sort of peace offerings to bummed tourists stuck inside. Service expects tips. You will be ignored if you don't tip for EVERY. THING. I'm not sure how this hotel has a 5 star rating, most likely for the restaurants.

The beach is beautiful. The rooms are nice. The restaurants are good. The buffet is ok. The one tiny waterslide is horrible, feels like a dirty dungeon. Not many activities for children. If you’re traveling with only adults this resort is a good option, not great. But I would not recommend for children.

This was our second year stay at this hotel. The location, beach, kids academy, pools, and food are great. This year, we felt the rooms were not as clean as last year. We ended up changing our room after only one night due to mold smell, very dirty vent filters, and constantly leaking shower. The second room was in much better condition. So overall it appeared that the maintenance was not on par with we experienced the year before. Having that said, the best asset of this hotel is their staff. We felt they are always there to help. They are well trained and most of them can speak English. Also the kids academy accepts 3yrs and older unlike most other places who accept 4yrs and older.

I would say this hotel is fairly decent but not great. Overall I was disappointing based on the reviews that I saw. There was limited options for things to do for the kids. We had quite a difficult time with food options as well because we are vegetarian so if you are vegetarian then I would not recommend this hotel. But on the bright side the pools are large beautiful and clean. the beach was also beautiful and clean. The hotel itself is slightly outdated, but still clean. I wouldn’t return to this hotel. I was at their sister hotel which was live aqua and that one was really nice. I would return to that one. This one is not for my family.
