I really enjoyed my stay. It was great to be in a place that felt clean and safe. Everything at the hotel was amazing from cleaning staff to beautiful views. I enjoyed it all around.

The property was amazing. Our room was fabulous! The room service was good. We made a reservation for 6 at the Japanese steakhouse for a birthday celebration and they said it was made for only two people so we ended up not eating there. That was our biggest let down.

This resort was so outdated. The rooms were old and not clean. The toilet would gurgle and bubble when others flushed. The staff was not very helpful and were so slow. The food was very mediocre. Waited on hold for 30mins every call. The concierge marked us as a no show for our shuttle when we were standing waiting for our shuttle an hour before hand. Overall a very poor experience

Iberostar Cancun has the potential to be a real five star hotel, however, as one of the staff said it, it’s the oldest property of the chain in the area and they are keeping it that way just to get guests to buy a timeshare to be in other ones of their properties. To do that, they give great service and show the potential in case someone wants to be in one of their newer properties while neglecting this one. The property is showing age, with us encountering many issues, some left unresolved. Examples are broken fridge, toilet, ac, and door chain. In addition, even though they claim restaurants need no reservations besides Japanese, good luck eating at any if you are not first in line. The beach is not kids friendly and was first week of October still loaded with seaweed. The food in buffet was good for breakfast and lunch but not for dinner. On the other hand, pools are great, entertainment is awesome, and staff are nice. Drinks whether alcohol or coffee are great. Overall, I would not book Iberostar Cancún again because they are not close to what they claim to be.
