This resort and its staff went above and beyond to ensure that my kids and I had an amazing first vacation together. It was so safe! The staff were extremely professional but also human. They were truthful, respectful but lively and fun. The food was AMAZING! The pools were so entertaining but peaceful at the same time. All facilities were so clean and for someone like me who pays close attention to cleanliness this resort/room/grounds were emasculate. So happy to choose Moon Palace for our stay.

I liked food option and pools were big. Most staff were trained well to treat customers. Very kind. What most upset me was 90 minutes promotion speech in order to get Grand 1day pass. Beware when you check in. After you check in, there are staff waiting behind checking in area. They are kind, but they don’t really explain what you have to suffer in order to get 1 day pass for Grand Moon Palace. I wanted to try new facility for my son which Grand have water park. Instead of 90minutes, it actually took us 3hours. Definitely ruined our half of the day. Don’t get me wrong. Staff are very nice. It’s just feel like Moon Palace corporation is pushing just too much for the customers. If you are willing to spend half day and get pass for the Grand, it will be great to use Water park. I did not try restaurants at Grand cause sunrise have variety of good restaurants as well. Besides that, our family really enjoyed at Moon Palace Sunrise.

Great family vacation

Lots of activities and things to do for our kids (ages 4, 6, 8). Everyone has a really good time. We really enjoyed the food, I have a food allergy and all of the all inclusives ice been to they were the best at dealing with it. We would definitely go back to a palace resort.

Monica helped my family and my friend's family in the Lobby after check in, She is nice person, but I did not received my $80 USD credit that she promised us (I went for the interview at The GRAND). Not happy with it, feel like being deceived, because seems no one is help me in the lobby.

We booked Moon Palace resort for 5 nights. Their website makes you believe that there are 3 hotels which you can visit and enjoy all the amenities freely. That’s not the case. Well, there are 3 hotels: Sunrise (where we stayed), Nizuk and the Grand. With sunrise stay, you may be able to visit and enjoy the restaurants/pool at Nizuk. For the Grand, you either have to be a member or get a day pass. We just really wanted to go to the water park, so we decided to sit down and talk to them. Now, getting that day pass. These people harass you to join them in a presentation of 90minutes plus. They take you to The Grand and this is where they try to sell you their packages to become members. We refused their membership and were given the day pass to the Grand. Our experience was not good. We were receiving phone calls from them at 8:00 am EVERYDAY and through the day. I wouldn’t answer the phone anymore. They were telling us to meet them downstairs so we can go to the presentation. We told them that we were not interested and they kept insisting. We just wanted to be left alone so we can do our own thing. I had the map, the app on my phone. We had our own plans and didn’t need anyone else to plan for us. Let me tell you about their pool restrictions. They have selected areas (nicer areas) for the members only. Those areas were basically empty, not even occupied. If you stepped a foot in there, you were told that you couldn’t be in there. Ocean front and pool not well maintained.

We had a clean room with a nice view. Staff was very friendly. Food was good (never bad, never amazing). Pool is huge with a lot of space. Usually lines for food, drinks so be prepared to wait. Very safe, had all amenities you could want. It just might have been too big for us. Overall positive, can’t complain.

Beach was but as the pictures show We were only able to book to restaurants that took reservations during our seven day stay Rooms are very small, and had 2 double beds as well as a hut tub. Would have preferred a couch with a hide a bed

positives- lots to do for any age, staff very friendly, pool is amazing. We did not see any advantage to the vip- my room the sam as others- small- hard to get reservations for dinner and spa (was a busy week), its hard to walk places for older people (had grandparents with us) would not recommend for them. would not recommend going to a meeting- did spend a day at the grand- beautiful but our friends stayed there and there kids spent more time at sunrise pool. wish there were restaurants that you could eat outside- had been to moon place 20 years ago and had lots of outside eating places- italian restaurant and momos the best- beach not great- may be time of year- not many swimming in ocean during our visit-

Pros :It is a beautiful resort. Everyone seems to go out of their way to attend to your every need. The bed is incredibly comfy and there is so much to do on-site. Scheduling excursions and events is incredibly easy. You can do it over the phone before you stay or they have a whole bunch of people on site to help you set everything up with transportation. Just charge it to your room. Just careful that you're talking to Moon palaces activities, coordinators and not the moon Palace timeshare coordinators. On that note, if you want to go to The Grand and you're staying at nizuk or sunrise the you will need to either pay $100 per person for a day. Pass or sit at an hour time share meeting. Oh, and resort credits are my joke. They don't purchase anything and after tax you have to pay out of pocket. Just about the value of whatever you're purchasing. Cons: my wife and I found most all of the food to be mediocre. We ate at the Riviera Maya at the golf course and that food was quite a bit better. Most all of the hard alcohol that was served to us at bars and the mini bar in our room had a strange taste to it. The beach is a total bust. This is a swimming pool resort. So you get lots of swimming pools. the beach has a thick pile of seaweed along the water line. They do their best to keep it off of the main beach sand. But going in the water is a seaweed covered experience.
