We just spent a fabulous 2weeks at Riu Palace Las Americas. The buffet was the best of all options. Room service was great! The only problem was the girl who MC'd the evening shows didn't speak clear English so we couldnt understand her. We stopped going to the shows. That was so frustrating. They really need to replace her. For that reason only, we wouldn't go back there.

This was our first all-inclusive trip and first time to Mexico. It was amazing! Decent food, great service, made a lot of friends with everyone else escaping the cold weather at home! Check-in was easy, had a drink in my hand within minutes after arrival and relaxed right away. Rooms were clean, had a great view, the beds and pillows were a little soft but I slept great most nights. The entertainment crew was awesome and there was something for everyone, whether you wanted to be included in games or sit quietly and just relax. Shopping outside of the resort was nice, but I was glad to have my brother-in-law who speaks Spanish with our group- otherwise a little pushey. Two cons: only 2 bathrooms on the resort (besides your room) and elevators could be a bit frustrating when stopping at every floor on your way down to the lobby- sometimes the stairs were faster. Overall, though, this stay was fantastic, and we will be back!!

The rooms and common areas are beautiful. I love that you have a "party" pool but also quiet places. I called the smallest pool my serenity pool :) The food was great, and the daytime land aerobics and water aerobics were wonderful. The evening entertainment was excellent, including the piano player in the lounge. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. One complaint I have was that the mixed drinks seemed to use a base made with artificial sweeteners rather than real sugar, which made them taste bad to me. That's okay, the beer and wine were good, and I didn't come there to drink, unlike some people :) It was also a little disappointing that some of the parties were off-site, requiring one to take a shuttle. I didn't go because I just wanted to stay on the property because I'm sooooo tired from my job. Maybe the problem is my job :) Thank you for a wonderful stay. Your staff is so friendly, and the dance/aerobics teachers so competent, and the entertainers so talented. I'm definitely hoping to come back. I speak Spanish and am trying to improve it. I was so happy that when I initiated conversations with your staff in Spanish, they were happy to speak Spanish to me. I LOVED this. Perhaps speaking Spanish was the best part of my trip.

Everything about the property was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the shuttle service provided by MTS Transportation from the hotel to the airport, which was not reliable. We waited half an hour beyond our scheduled pickup time and had to get an Uber to ensure we made it to our flight on time. However, the pickup from the airport to the hotel was good. Everything else about our stay at the resort was wonderful.

I wasn't sure what to expect from booking at a place I've never been to. This place met and exceeded my expectations! We walked the beach a little and this property by far had the best beach access of resorts around. They had plenty of fun activities to do both day and night. The food was amazing woth multiple dining options. The fresh fruit on the buffet was fantastic! The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Staying this close to the ocean means things are a bit musty and i will probably bring some damp rid next time. All in all I will not hesitate to book again at a Riu.

Ive been to a few other all inclusives before. This was my fav. There were several activities at the resort to choose from especially in the evenings and at night. All the staff were very friendly and helping in amswering any questions. The restaurants were excellent. I wouldn't change a thing. Im considering this same resort for my next vacation
