If you’re a foody then you’ll understand that All Inclusive resorts are basic in the food dept. The buffet has the same thing every meal every day. It’s a variety but if you’re picky this is not for you. The steak house was decent. Italian sucked. Japanese restaurant was better. The room was beautiful and the ocean view in 648 was incredible. The water smells when you shower. The hotel is beautiful, older decor but still amazing and clean. Staff is wonderful & so friendly! Drinks were gross. Super sugary and just taste different than in America. I just made my own with the Bacardi and vodka in the room. Rum & Pepsi. Vodka & water with coconut Gatorade from across the street. Senior Frogs is a 10 min walk. And it’s still typical México and everything is a “special price” or “best deal for you today!” Pools were beautiful.

I enjoyed my stay here. I did not like that I could not manage the ac in the room and the smell around the hotel. Other than that, all of the staff was amazing. The location was great and felt very safe.

We had a few unfortunate issues, but they would not deter us from going back to this resort. The hotel and all inclusive was amazing. Even tho there are 6 restaurants on the property, we basically ate every meal at the buffet. There were just so many awesome, fresh things to choose from including many vegan and vegetarian choices, which was one of the main reasons we chose this place. The pools were gorgeous and we were able to safely swim right from the beach. Our only complaints were due to misguided advice from Mitzy at the reception and another issue with the free shuttle that never showed up to bring us back to the airport.We decided to take a ferry to Isla Mujeres and asked Mitzy which was the easiest way to get there. Long story short, she told us to take an uber to Playa Tortugas, which was a few miles away. Instead of being directed to the ferry, we were directed to a seedy tour company that brought us out of the hotel zone, and then onto a tiny boat and basically dumped us at the worst part of island. When we realized we stupidly got scammed, we high tailed it out on the next ferry (xcarat ferry) which dropped us off about a block or two away from our hotel. When we asked Mitzy why she would have told us to drive miles away when there was a ferry within walking distance, she just played dumb. Needless, to say we were very angry, especially since we got scammed out of close to $200 and wasted 6 hours of our day. Regardless, we had a great time and lessons learned

Great hotel, quiet and beautiful but it’s older and the hallways/ rooms need a refresh. Specifically the carpet in the hallways smell like mildew and the room amenities are dated and tarnished. Food at the Buffett was pretty good. Can go to their other hotels for the day for free if you want upgraded amenities like Riu Caribe which is what we did, it’s a $4 uber ride to get there. I would stay at Riu again but maybe not this location.

The service at the hotel was great! Everyone there was exceptionally friendly and we appreciated that each server understood the busy atmosphere so whenever we ordered a drink, they’d come back with an extra without us having to ask! Our only complaint is that we got the junior suite ocean room and while the room itself was nice and spacious, the bed pillows, or lack of were not comfortable and our bathroom constantly smelled of sewage. Other than this, the room was fine. The service was great!

First off, the staff was incredible. Everyone was gracious and seemed genuinely happy to help. Arly and Johnny (yanny) were incredible and so many others that I cannot remember the names. As for the buffet, the food was hot and fresh and a great variety. The Property was absolutely beautiful and the beaches were incredible.
