I liked that it was beautiful just like the pictures the restaurants were good but there was more older people like 30 to 50 year olds but the riu theme party u go to there’s young people and next door there a club u go to and there young people but other than that great place for couples and relax.

Beautiful property, very clean, great location. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The resort has great amenities, great restaurants and food options, and our room was perfect. The ONLY thing that could have been better was the food options in the 24hr snack bar. We give it a 9.9/10!

The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, I can't say that we have had better overall service at any other hotel we have stayed at. The food was delicious in all of the restaurants.

This was our second stay at Riu Palace Las Americas. As with our first visit, we found the resort, staff, and amenities to be second to none. We truly felt like we had returned home and our stay did not disappoint. The food is phenomenal, the staff are friendly and accomodating, and it is a great place to relax, regroup, and recharge. We love the workers. Abu, David & Juan are exceptional. We have been there at least 8 times and are coming back this May. CON: The food is really going down in quality in the Buffett. We were there 2 times last year and will be 2 times this year. This trip as far as the Buffett was not acceptable. If it is like this on our May trip, we will be forced to try other resorts next year. We have been to many others ones and this was our favorite until last year and so far this year. Also, the night entertainment is not worth attending anymore.

Food was ok. Not as good as I’ve had at other Riu properties in the past. Disappointed that we could not have dinner at the Riu property next door even though we were at the Palace. Room had a very musty smell. I brought along a plug in freshener and that helps a lot.

The server on the beach William aka Wilson is the greatest staff member the Riu has. Was there last year and went back this year for my 50th birthday and brought 10 new people to the resort and they all said William made the whole trip!!!

The hotel staff were top notch! For our first experience this was beyond wonderful. Food was great, restaurants were on point. Would stay here over the other Riu over and over again.

Hotel was amazing. Plenty of restaurant options so even after 6 evenings we were still not bored with the food. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Only real downside was the entertainment - most big things with offsite at the sister property (free shuttle) but still. Also, people were taking chairs and saving them with towels as early as 6:00 am so didn’t leave many options.

We stayed for two weeks. It was our first time in the Cancun hotel zone. We were delighted to be upgraded to an ocean view because of our length of stay. The staff was wonderful, it was very clean and the food was very good. The beach was great! The only downfall we had was how close all the other hotels were. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff was extremely friendly. The pool activities were fun. The drinks were not watered down. The individual restaurants were OK… You didn’t have to make a reservation so that made it very easy to try them all. Despite them just being OK the buffet was phenomenal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A huge variety of options and very good. There were always lounge chairs available. The beach was smaller than areas that we’ve stayed before, but it was adequate and the water was super clear. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice, small resort, clean, friendly staff. Beautiful and clean beach. Great food options, tasty. Loved the lunch offered out by the pool. Entertainment was pretty good. Recommend for couples and the 45 plus crowd.
