We found the hotel beautiful and the staff exceptional. We completely enjoyed the amenities, restaurants and staff. Our only disappointment was the lack of public restrooms available in the public areas and the amount of seaweed.

We had a good relaxing time. We were disappointed with the beach and the amount of seaweed but that is not the properties fault. Staff were friendly and very personable. We enjoyed the food. During breakfast, Isai was the best waiter! He has great customer service!

We had an overall great stay at this resort. We enjoyed the food from all the restaurants including the buffet at breakfast daily. Our only disappointment which has nothing to do with Riu was the beach due to the seaweed which invaded almost every location. We booked this resort specifically for the calm clear water but never got to experience due to this. Riu staff did work tirelessly it appeared trying to remove the seaweed daily but it was a losing battle during our trip. We did enjoy the QR code for the bars and restaurants to give a little more insight on beverage options and simple food insights as well. Staff at this resort always smiled and greeted which is always a plus. We give this trip a 9 out of 10.

Riu was great. My friends and I had a blast. There are some inefficiencies that could be upgraded but overall it was good. Our biggest complaint was the room cards, we've visited the royalton where thwy had automatic wristband/keys that worked great. The room card at RIU kept getting desensitized. Also, there was a lot of seaweed. While thats inevitable it was surprising that thw staff spent hours shovelling seaweed into plastic bags rather than have a better system/process.
