The staff was professional and available all the time, everything was good, the only think we didn’t like the restaurant food , was basic and quality was below standard, the buffet food was the best in the hotel. Also we use the spa for a pedicure, too expensive for a basic pedicure. The products in the store at the hotel were very expensive. A sun lotion protection it was $36.

It was great to stay somewhere as a fanily resort where kids were thought of first, even down to the mini bar in the room. The layout of the sleeping space was awesome and allowed you to feel like you still had a bit of privacy. Its more of a note thst the only thing i would mention was that the shower was super slow to drain.

For context, I traveled with my husband and sons (14 and 11 with autism). Food: great! Breakfast is pretty much just the buffet but great options! Dinner was great! Just steer clear of the included steaks. My autistic kid could find something he liked everywhere though! Pool: beautiful but hardly anyone went in because it was too cold! Charge a couple bucks more and heat the pool please! Room: very clean! They are generous with soap and shampoo and mini fridge was awesome! Kids Activities: slide was neat. We didn’t spend much time there because my kids were older and no drinks are allowed down there except bottled water. Zipline and mini golf were cool! Only open a couple hours a day and crowded because of that though. If they were open longer it would have improved our stay. The kids room attendants were awesome. The room itself was kind of disappointing but our youngest enjoyed it and we still spent time there. Ocean: honestly, one of the best ocean fronts compared to neighboring beaches! There was a rope with buoys attached on one side. If you stick to that side, you can go out quite far and not be deep at all! Great for family body surfing! (My kids are both strong swimmers.) The flag was red the entire time we were there but we could still go out so long as we stayed near there. The spa was amazing! Look at their website for specials. They won’t tell you about them otherwise. Drinks were good but too sugary for me. Typical though. Overall, we’d go back!

When I booked my stay I read some mixed reviews about this resort which made me a bit nervous, however I got an amazing deal for the week so I couldn’t pass it up. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was very nice and service was excellent. For those who complain about that, maybe try tipping a little and don’t be cheap to people that are helping you. There were plenty of dining options and overall the food was pretty good. The restaurants do not require reservations and if there is a wait they give to pagers so you can wait at one of the many lounges around the main concourse. The hotel itself is could use a little upgrading in some areas due to age, but overall it was very clean and the staff worked hard to keep it clean. We are a family of three and the room was plenty big enough for us and we had a great view of the ocean. Just like every resort they try to get you to join their vacation club. If you want to get some decent discounts on excursions it’s a 90 minute presentation (make sure you set your timer) and then you can say no thank you. I’d suggest grabbing an invite at the airport from one of the other people trying to sell you a timeshare and present it to the hotel ones to get even better incentives. The whole different color wristbands was confusing as most people had dark blue, we had teal and the vips (suckers who bought into the vacation club) had purple. Not sure the difference between teal and dark blue other than we booked through Expedia.

This is our third time visiting cancun and this was the worst hotel experience ever! Food is limited and the quality is absolutely terrible. Room service along with the restaurants closes at 10:30pm so if you return to the hotel from a tour, you are left with nothing to eat. Hotel rooms have a digusting amount of cockroaches and room service does not answer you call. If you want to reach any type of customer service, you would have to go downstairs to speak with the concierge. I truly do not recommend anyone to book at seadust.
