Our group of 11 adults stayed at Breathless Soul Resort Cancun, an adults-only property marketed as a 5-star luxury experience. Unfortunately, the stay was consistently frustrating and disappointing. As wedding industry professionals wrapping up our season, we expected relaxation, professionalism, and elevated service—but received the opposite. Check-in lacked any warm welcome, overview of amenities, or basic communication. We were never informed that a large private event would significantly restrict access to restaurants, bars, and common areas, nor warned about extreme food delays. Room service regularly took 5–6 hours, even when pre-ordered, with no communication regarding delays or missing orders. Restaurant meals were frequently forgotten, resulting in 2+ hour waits. Housekeeping was unreliable: dirty trays were left for days, towels were not delivered, rooms weren’t properly cleaned, and minibars were not restocked despite repeated requests. Bathrooms offered little privacy, which was uncomfortable for a couples-focused resort. Bar service was inconsistent and poorly communicated, with late-night drink restrictions, no rooftop pool bar service, confusion over towel policies, and one bartender behaving aggressively toward a guest. Activities were minimal, the club closed without notice, and amenities like the fire pit were refused without valid explanation. The hotel overall was nice. Let start with my check in experience, the guy who checked me in acted like he was paid based on the number of people he checked in at one time. This was my first time at the hotel he didn't give me any information like where the restaurants were, the amenities, bars, things going on the property, all he was worried about was selling me the VIP experience that wasn't VIP at all. The only thing I can say was the VIP bartenders Eric and Irving they made sure they served me at all times and they told me about different things going on at the hotel that would make my stay nice. Every restaurant I went to the staff was rude and acted like they didn't want to serve me and my friends. The staff as you walked around the hotel was not as friendly as I would have expected to get a reaction out of most of them you had to speak first. For the cost of an inclusive resort, they really need to work on their customer and providing and unforgettable experience.

Ocean Front room was amazing! All staff Members were very Friendly and willing to Help Roof Top Pool was alot of fun Food was very good for all inclusive resort. The staff was amazing, rooms were very clean. We always came back to the room with the bed made & room cleaned. The staff were sweet & very helpful. Such a great vacation!
