Great property with a nice private beach, great gift shop and a very lively lobby which always had something fun going on every night like karaoke or a pianist. The lobby bar was fun with great staff and quick service. The beach bar was nice with decent drinks. The pool was nice, however be prepared, its not heated, very few people in pool, considering we traveled in January. The three restaurants looked nice however we could only get reservations for one night due to being all booked up. When you make the reservations, they do try and sell you on going to another Occidental property to discuss a vacation package. We told them upfront we were not interested so surprisingly enough we only were able to make one reservation for dinner. I suspect if you do the vacation tour, you’ll probably get reservations to all 3 restaurants, but that’s just an assumption. Another nice feature is at night, they have artisan shops set up on the property where you can purchase local art and jewelry. The buffet breakfast was OK, it was better for breakfast than it was for lunch. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and we really enjoyed this property and definitely would recommend.
