We stayed at GR Solaris 7 nights for Christmas. We loved it there ❤️ Hardworking stuff, very nice and always there to make guests enjoy their stay. All-inclusive package, in general, is a scam. The quality of food was terrible - made with the cheapest ingredients. Almost everything is hyper diluted/adulterated. All they care about is to make maximum money from the tourists. I will not recommend this to anyone - in fact, I get the feeling that most hotels in Cancun operate this way.

The stay was simply okay. If you’re looking for a clean property with a good pool and beach. Then this works. Food wasn’t good though and the variety wasn’t there at all. The service is mediocre. Money talks really here. If you tip before any service (even at the buffet) they will bring out premium food for you that isn’t out for everyone. Guest services completely messed up my pre ordered birthday package for my son, and told me the girl who confirmed with me a month ago no longer works there and they don’t have her emails. They ended up decorating for him but the cake I ordered wasn’t happening at that point. The staff is very slow moving I had asked for a crib in my room prior to check in and at check in and when I went to the room the crib wasn’t there. I had to call 3 times and waited 45 min to get one. Not to mention that also I asked for the extra bed to be made and when we got to the room there were no sheets to even make the extra bed myself so that was another wait! Would I go back? No. Was it terrible? Also no. But there are much better places in the area with better service and food.

Despite being an all-inclusive plan, the dining options were limited, and all restaurants other than the buffet required reservations. With our short stay, it was impossible to secure restaurant reservations. At worst, we had no choice but to eat at the buffet for both breakfast and dinner. We didn't get to enjoy any of the benefits of an all-inclusive package. I simply cannot understand how this is considered a five-star hotel. It was a very disappointing stay.

Overall my family and I had a great time! -Front desk needs to learn they are in the hospitality business. They would get 0 stars if I could. - Food was horrible ( and I understand that this is resort food and is mass produced but still horrible). I was only able to eat at one speciality restaurant in my 5 day stay bc the app never worked for me and you can't go there and make a reservation. The buffet was decent but nothing special. - The entertainment team was wonderful! - The ladies at the kids club were awesome! - Our servers at the pool Lizeth and German were amazing and spoiled us with their service. - The pool was very clean but really cold. Im assuming its not heated at all. - My Spa treatment was a great experience as well.

Room: had a faucet that would not shut off and maintenance told me it’s fine. Whole time water was running. Food: because we stayed for 5 nights we were only allowed 2 dinners the whole time and then bound to go get at the buffet. There app locked in to dinner options and the rest of the time we could not go to eat dinner anywhere else. The buffet was nice however certain stations were not maintained and foods were not replenished correctly. Had limited non- pork items. Also, pool was was terrible. The only thing that was edible was the made to order pizza. Stay: we only had two people check in because my other daughter got the flu and we had to cancel her stay. Expedia told me to let them know for a credit and hotel did not credit me anything for my child not being able to fly with us due to the flu. Beach: beautiful however absolutely no service on the beach, no help with chairs, no workers period on beach. This was the worst service. This is not an all inclusive.

There were a few good things about the hotel: - nice staff, very polite and attentive - very clean - close to the airport However, some other things were very disappointing: - the worst is extremely limited access to the ocean, the guards do not allow to enter water farther than 50 feet from the shore. If you hope to swim you need to go to another place. The waves higher than 3 feet are qualified as a storm with red flags everywhere. I doubt the guards can swim. - the food deserves 3 stars for quality and 0 stars for variety. Every day the same 3-4 dishes, probably the worst all inclusive restaurants I've ever seen. As a conclusion, this hotel is definitely not for swimmers, but must be an ideal place for ladies with children who worry about consumed calories and appreciate kids safety while swimming.
