Not impressed

Walk between room and casino didnt feel safe, view terrible, had to call to have tv fixed. Very under other 5 stars I have stayed in.

Good location but maintenance not up to scratch

The shower did not function as intended due to poor maintenance. There are 2 shower heads but the ability to change from one shower head to the other was broken. The shower head that it was stuck on was pointing at the wall and could not be adjusted. Not good enough for any hotel and certainly not for one as expensive as the Sky City Grand. Good location though and friendly staff.

Stylish hotel

The Sky Grand is elegant and stylish. The rooms are very comfortable with great views if you are in the harbour side.

Excellent location!

Location was perfect. Close to cbd. Alot to do in the vicinity. Iur only let sown would have to be with the servicing if the room. They were pretty quick to restock minibar. But getting new towels was a disaster.

Comfortable and Convenient

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms beautiful and clean. We had a few friends over for drinks and we had no noise complaints as the walls were very sound proof. We really enjoyed the convenient location and we'd love to come and stay again. The only small complaint I have is that it took over an hour to get a bucket of ice sent up to the room after calling reception 3 times, luckyily everyone was too happy to care too much.

Amazing hotel x amazing service 100%

I was so happy with all the services provided x the hotel staff were amazing, they helped me with everything I asked and more .would recommend this hotel to everyone And will be staying here every time I'm in New Zealand

Excellent central location

Great stay, great location, great service and excellent staff. We are planning our next trip to Auckland and are looking forward in returning to Star City Hotel.

Receptionist

From the beginning to the end of our trip we were served by Mavis many times and she was so friendly and helpful every time. Her kindness really stuck out and we felt very welcomed :)

Fantastic luxury weekend escape

Pros: Location in the city. Luxuriousness was exactly what we looked for in a hotel.
Cons: Buffet breakfast at Gusto only included Continental. The additional a la carte cooked options were limited, too big/$$$ when combined with buffet.
Location: Excellent selection of top restaurants nearby.
Luxurious room with modern interior. Good gym facilities. Great location with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The 'pillow menu' available is a must, as the basic pillows supplied in the room were not very comfortable (that is my only negative, but it can be easily resolved).
