Quant and retro hotel. Bar is cozy. Room was very hot as air conditioning was not working properly. Breakfast was underwhelming. Scone was advertised as plain but chocolate turned up. Bacon was cut very thick. Coffee was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable although hard to sleep as hot. Unlikely stay again.

Excellent refurbished hotel.
This is a very old Auckland Hotel that recently had an excellent refurbishment but maintaining quite a retro look. It was very quiet, beds comfortable & usual hotel amenities. We used their private dining room for a family birthday party then stayed the night. Would I stay again? Yes.

Perfect stay!!
Hotel is convenient to harbour and restaurants. Room was sparkling, a lot of tile in bathroom, crystal knobs and mirrors on wardrobe all spotless. Nice amenities and given 1 free drink per person. We needed a scale for suitcases prior to our departure the next day. The reception person brought one the next morning. They really went out of their way to meet all our needs. We greatly appreciated their thoughtful efforts. Highly recommend.

Great last min stay.
Easy to find, wonderfully situated. The room was perfect and clean. Staff were lovely but slow, particularly at the bar. Would expect to not have to pay for water from the room bar but hey. Car parking is situated a short distance away. $35 for 1 night. I’m always loathed to pay for parking, particularly for a 5 star hotel, but this additional cost was clearly stated when making the booking to be fair.

Hi, I stayed at tbis property for my Birthday. Its an amazing Hotel, Staff where very friendly from the moment i walked in, The old fashion lift is cool and the room is a mixture of modern/ eclectic pieces. The striking carpet is cool, And the bed and Bath was amazing. The property is very walkable to shops, dinning and the Quayside area and day trips. And has a onsite bar and food. This is truely a 5 star Gem in the middle of theCity. I would definitely stay here again.

The location of this hotel was great. Walking distance to ferry terminal, shopping, restaurants. Quiet location and accessible to everything we wanted. Staff very friendly and helpful. Large bathroom and shower. Loved our stay.
