Great stay in the centre of town. Easily walkable to waterfront. Good bus transport links locally. Room clean, beds extremely comfortable, decor slightly dated (but is called the heritage hotel). Had good weather so only used roof top gym and pool/hot tub, great facilities. Didn’t go to the indoor facilities so can’t comment. Had a couple of technical issues with the booking but was sorted promptly by friendly staff. Staff also able to give good local advice and knowledge. Restaurant (run separately to hotel) was not open whilst we were there, shame we weren’t able to grab a coffee/something to get within hotel but lots of local options. Would stay again.

I will with the positive the staff were lovely. On arrival we were told no restaurant available it was closed. will need to go our for breakfast even though when I booked months it was open. Then on to the room, open the door room was freezing cold, dark needed lights on all the time. Greeted my a massive stain on the carpeted rug wardrobe door didn't close properly, no light in the one housing tea,coffee, kettle etc just a hole in cut out in the top where the light should be. In the bathroom a chip out of the glass in the shower screen and the cleaning was average. Such a shame it's a lovely old building just need some TLC.
