It's a great value spot, and I really enjoyed it! It was clean and friendly. If you are looking for immaculate paint jobs or amenities, maybe spend a bit more. The area is objectively safe and fine, but if you aren't familiar with big city poverty and homelessness you might be disturbed by some corners that are within a couple blocks of the inn.

I absolutely love going to this hotel! It is the only place I say when visiting the city. I’ve stayed here a few times and never been left disappointed. The last time I stayed they were so kind to upgrade me to a bigger room just because !! How awesome is that !?! The staff is very polite they are always helpful when I ask for help and the place is always clean . Beds are comfortable, the sheets and pillow clean and the washroom kept impeccable. I can’t wait to stay here again .. I love this hotel.

Great property for solo travellers. Pleasant experience and room was great, has everything you need. Is a short walk from convenience store. In the late morning it was very noisy from construction outside but hotel not to blame for this and is to be expected with the central location.

Overall this was an okay stay. Didn't get much sleep, the doors are spring loaded and slam all night long. No shelves in the shower l, and the property felt like it needed more intentional construction. Things like the toilet paper holder that wouldn't stay up, small things that would really make this a class hotel

The Pembroke Inn is a very cute boutique inn which has recently undergone some renovations. I am excited to see future improvements. Hotel staff was quite friendly and helpful, check in and check out were quick and seamless, and we were often reminded of the free coffee in the lobby. Our room was minimalist, but it could have been improved by a few extra amenities, such as a hair dryer. It was nice to have a mini fridge to store leftovers, and the bathroom was beautifully done. The floors were very uneven and quite warped, and felt like they had not been mopped in quite some time, feeling gritty underfoot. We found the walls to be quite thin, and people leaving and entering the neighbouring rooms were quite noisy, particularly in the early hours of the morning (1am, 2am, for example). Not something that can necessarily be helped by hotel staff, but earplugs are recommended, particularly because our room backed into an active construction site. Overall, a decent place to stay for the price, and looking forward to future improvements!

This was the most terrifying, disgusting hotel moment I ever experienced… they mask the poisonous and toxic smells of cat pee with heavy pinesol and febreeze spray. We felt so nauseous and sickened that we had no choice but to leave in the middle of the night prior to check out. PLEASE DONT BOOK THIS PLACE !
