We were told nothing about the hotels facilities, had to ask the front desk after we checked in. Had to figure out everything in the room ourselves and where it was hidden. Granted it’s been awhile since I’ve been to a hotel but the last expensive one I stayed at they walked you to the room, carried your bags and showed you where everything in the room was and how it all worked as well as telling you about all the facilities the hotel had, all we got was a key card with the room number written on a white piece of paper

Great place, nice, clean, and great staff.

We had a great time there. The location is super convenient, but not crazy busy. The room we had was nice and spacious. Came with a mini bar/fridge which we used to store some small items. The room had 2 queen sized beds and a sofa bed as well. So lots of room for a family. The staff were really friendly and amazing. The front desk staff were super responsive, the housekeeping staff were very friendly and always asked us if we needed anything, and the restaurant staff were also very friendly and accomodating. I mean even the valet's were super friendly. I think the only thing that I could give a little gripe about was that the gym was quite small, and there were a couple of pieces of equipment that were not functioning in the pool and changeroom. I did let the front desk staff know upon checking out so I am sure if we ever return that those issues would get resolved. We had a great time, all of us, and it really is due to the staff.

Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, rooms are clean and feel recently updated. The location is very convenient to the University of Toronto and Royal Ontario Museum, and very close to the fancy Yorkville shopping area. I would recommend trying to get a room some distance from the elevator. The noise of it whooshing up and down was annoying. My only other complaint is the utterly crazy price for valet parking. As a disabled person, hunting around for other options after a long day didn't seem like a great idea. But the price is really exorbitant, particularly when you're paying HST on top of it.

I booked two rooms for 4 nights in August. The property is in a wonderful location next to the ROM, transportation and excellent dining options. The view from our very large room was stunning. My issue was with the in room carpeting. It is dated and it smells dirty/off (it was quite overpowering in one of the rooms booked). Why not switch to hard flooring for ease of cleaning? The furnishings are also in need of updating. For almost 500CAD per night I expected better from the Sonesta brand. The housekeeping staff were friendly, professional and top notch however.
