Room review
Not so good, the mattress was so uncomfortable. Never stayed in a hostel before so didn’t know what to expect. I tried to call to confirm reservations as no money was taken out for the room as stated and they were uncontactable via phone, I was a little worried we had a place to sleep in. We paid when we arrived and there is a 2% surcharge if you use eftpos to pay for the accommodation. No soap or shamp/cond supplied lucky I had some. Towels were for hire which we didn’t know so a $10 deposit and $3 a night is required but they didn’t have enough for each room, lucky we had beach towels and maybe that’s what they think everyone has. House cleaning is done each day but no way of stopping that from happening even if you’re asleep in the room they knock and enter and if you’re not in the room it’s still done. You can catch a bus near the beach 333 (10 min walk) which comes every 10mins to Bondi Junction and Circular Quay for only $2.75. Would I stay there again well it is in a great location and staff were friendly enough but the mattress was so uncomfortable so no, but you do get what you pay for.

Village Bondi
Friendliest hostel I’ve stayed in, lots of cool and lovely people. The building is also quite cool and well maintained, but the rooms are TINY. I was in a 4-person room and there wasn’t room for all 4 of us to even be in there standing at the same time. However small you think the rooms are, cut that in half and you’ll still be surprised. Lovely stay nonetheless!

For the purposes of our visit - getting to Bondi Beach at 3.30am to take part in the Spencer Tunick photo shoot for "Strip off for Skin Cancer" 26.11.22, The Village was a perfect spot. Staff were so very friendly and helpful - easy check in and check out (digital and quick) - no paper or plastic involved. Great spot for a visit to the beach and a mere 3 minute stroll to the south end of Bondi. Marvellous!!

Excellent location, secure, comfortable stay
Secure entrance and room works perfectly with Goki app. Have stayed here before but nice to see bathroom upgrade. Unfortunately one of the power points didn’t work so I alternated power between the fridge and my electronic devices.

4 bed review.
I stayed at this hostel for 11 nights and I would return. The hostel is clean and tidy, and the cleaners clean your room/en-suite every morning. The hostel is super close to the beach (approx 5 min walk) and the supermarket is around 10 mins. The room I stayed in (39) however looked nothing like the pictures and was extremely small. It’s a 4 bed room so you pay a little more than the 8 beds but there is less than 1m between the two bunk beds. And the ‘ensuite’ is a tiny room like a wet room with toilet, sink and shower - there’s a curtain that divides the shower from the toilet. Ultimately it works. You get hot water and it’s fine. But just be mindful it’s not like the photos. You also only get 500mb of data per day which I didn’t see specified when booking. I would stay again however.
