"Friendly inexpensive location for a stop-over"
Once I found motel, I was pleasantly surprised with the size of my room and the facilities offered. Only approach to entry by car is from the west. Drove past it the first time as motel is tucked in amongst a lot of medical centres with distracting signage. Roughly 100m to tram station and the frequency of these is amazing.

"great spot not far from beach"
This is where we stay every time we head to the coast. Cross the road and discover a great play area for the kids. Not far from Surfers Paradise great area to stay. Harbour town shopping outlet not far either.

A beautifully furnished, spacious apartment. Great for our children and large family. Amazing views and situated close to theme parks and public transport. We didn't want to leave, loved it.😊

"Easy access, close to transport, nothing fancy."
Communal showers, bathrooms, lounge and balcony, with rooms just containing your beds and sparse furnishing. Not the best hotel in the world but you get what you pay for and at $58 a night it's affordable enough. The positives are it's close to public transport, great view from the balcony, not far from Surfer's (10 mins by tram). Overall i'd give it a 3/5, but like mentioned, it does the job, i'd stay there again. When you go on holidays you shouldn't be spending much time in your room in any case, so i don't mind it personally. Still a thumbs up.

"Close to Southport"
Mine was a hastily organised visit to attend a funeral of family member. I stayed because it was close and convenient to family. A balcony outside near the window of our room meant the first night was noisy until around 11pm. On the 2nd night ione of the girls was moved from another room into ours she'd been attacked by bed bugs and she had welts on her arms and legs. How can this happen if linen is changed daily? I would only stay here again if nothing else around.

"Hotel Stay"
What an awesome experience I had at this hotel. I had a 7 night stay on the 7th floor with spectacular views and outstanding room. The hotel was accessible to all sorts of markets, shopping malls, attractions for families, and transport and some within walking distance. Everyday was different with early rise and obviously late to bed as the night views were just as spectacular from the very large balcony. I have recommended this hotel to a few people in New Zealand and I have also inquired about booking for the future, Mandy and Graham the hotel managers, thank you so much for all your hospitality and as I said I will be back 2016 and 2017 with the whanau.

"Pools for young and old"
Having 2 pools and a spa was great for our family. Room spacious. Glad we were only on level 2 as stairs with a small child luggage pram etc was a little tricky. Nice staff. We were happy with our overall stay.

    Accommodation In Southport

What’s a holiday on the Gold Coast without a trip to Southport? With its coastal location and proximity to Surfers Paradise, it’s no surprise that Southport is one of the Gold Coast’s most popular suburbs. Stay in the heart of the Gold Coast CBD at one of our Southport hotels.

Southport was originally known as Nerang Creek Heads but was renamed in 1875 due to its position as the southernmost port in Queensland. Today, the suburb of Southport is regarded as the Gold Coast’s central business district and sits just metres away from a natural coastline. Take a walk along the shore and enjoy the fresh sea air and the soothing sound of the waves. The Southport Broadwater Parklands are further south along the coast and is one of Southport’s main tourist attractions. The Parklands include an events space which hosts major events including the Gold Coast Airport Marathon held in July, a public performance stage, unique artwork and picnic and leisure areas. The area is also great for kids, with a jumping pillow installation and the Rockpools water playground, a great and affordable family entertainment option available all year round. Speaking of family fun, Sea World, one of Australia’s most popular theme parks, is located in Southport. Meet dolphins, penguins, polar bears and sharks at the oceanarium, or experience wild thrills and entertainment with the park’s rides and live shows.

Southport is also home to two of the biggest shopping centres on the Gold Coast. The Australia Fair Shopping Centre, which overlooks the Southport Broadwater, is a great place to go for your everyday needs. Shop a range of fashion, gifts and homewares, grab some quick eats at the food court or catch a film at the Birch Carroll & Coyle cinema. For something more upmarket, visit Marina Mirage, a hub of fine dining and shopping experiences. Many premium brands can be found at Marina Mirage, including Hermes, Max & Co. and Tommy Hilfiger alongside favourites like French Connection, Witchery and Mimco.
