Generally excellent stay but room was unbearably warm. However in fairness as the window doesn’t open there was a fan available but it needed to be on all the time when in the room. Not sure if all rooms are the same

Lovely building, a little upgrading required
Beautiful building, lovely staff at breakfast, great location. Sadly the fridge clearly hadn’t been checked or cleaned as a previous guest’s half drunk wine was in there, there was mould on the shower screen and the room was boiling hot overnight. There was tea and coffee making facilities which were fine and it was nice to have the pool there. I would stay again as the price reflected the hotel’s limitations, but if I was expecting a special stay, I would have to look elsewhere.

Cold room poor service
When we arrived the room was freezing and the tv did not work. No heater in the bathroom at all. When we reported this to reception they sent up a handy man with a mini portable heater, which gave off very little heat. He couldnt fix the tv. Reception rang and said we could look at another room, this was just as cold, much smaller and smelled if urine. They said thats the only other room available as the hotel was fully booked. Not good service at all

The hotel is in a beautiful old building in a great location. Check in staff were friendly and helpful. But, and its a big but. The room was too hot to sleep in, there was no air conditioning and the window only opened about 3 inches, not enough to cool the room even in early February. I certainly wouldn't stay here again
