We enjoyed a very lovely stay for the carabao cup celebrations, staff and hotel were all perfect, as was the use of the robot room service which was the cherry on top for my 6 year old son. I would have given a 5 star review but have been left with a sour taste in my mouth on departure, as we were informed the hotel no longer offers discounts on parking despite both the carpark signage and the Maldron hotels website both stating it does, just feel very misled.

Inside hotel was nice but the outside was pretty filthy, unfortunately we were there the weekend of the Newcastle fc parade and the town centre was a busy so not sure if this didn’t help. Staff were generally friendly but rolling your eyes when mentioning that an item we were leaving until we went for our train was fragile wasn’t a great attitude. However if we come back to Newcastle we would look to book this hotel again, really central and even though it was an extremely busy weekend it was so quiet in our room

Great service

We stayed here on the busiest night of the year in Newcastle with the football parade. They let us check in early with our bags. The first room had a window seal issue and they immediately moved us when we complained about the noise. We got a room on the top floor. Perfect quiet and comfort. The room was well equipped. There was a nice restaurant with great food. Getting a taxi in the morning was very easy with their service. Very convenient to the train station. We would definitely stay here again.

A lovely hotel. Room was decent size and all fixtures n fittings were good quality. I think the cleanliness needs to improve. There was a sticky item on top of the duvet as if part of a sweet had been dropped. The underneath of the toilet was a yellow stained colour and there was a blood mark on the wall next to the toilet. I would expect this to be cleaned off.
