Perfect relaxing atmosphere, social sunny pool. Hosts able to accomodate our longer stay and change of room. Surrounding streets full of life and good food. Just a walk to a river cruise. We booked a spa suite, a great choice!

I like the character of the building, but unfortunately my room needed to update the furniture as it was well used and the music coming from the street below made going to sleep difficult.

Where should I start. The Grand once had a fantastic name. Now I can actually say my stay there was terrible. The rooms are very dated the heating was terrible, the TV was unwatchable. The bedding was clean but I could not keep warm with the sheets and blanket that was supplied. My experience was that bad that at 7.30 pm that night I googled another place to stay but my friend that was staying in another disappointing room was reluctant to go. As I was not driving we did suck it up and stay but unless there is an update to the facilities then I will be finding somewhere else to stay. Very very disappointed

I do hope that our Team assisted to have these matters resolved promptly for you. Being a heritage building, we are very fortunate to have a wide variety of rooms that vary in décor and price. I would encourage you to discuss with our Reservation team on your next booking if you would like to be located in a more modern refurbished room and they will be more than happy to assist your request. Creepy old rabbit warren. Paid $440 for two (same) rooms 1 night. First ok - nearly apt on main rd, 2nd was like the janitors room above the pub. Bedding & furnishings good, only windows were on walkway so felt rather exposed. Expected guests from years gone by to visit through the night…..very uncomfortable. Did not stay in there. Luckily there was a single in the other room. Being on main road, trucks & traffic all night. The loudest room ever! Expressed our uneasiness to reception when we had checked in & she said she would get the manager to contact us & see what we could do. Still waiting. Had prepaid via Wotif so no refund. Overpriced, understaffed & overrated. Won’t ever return.

The property was at an excellent location and the staff very accommodating. We would stay here again. The hotel had a lovely feel.

Great location but the facilities, room all very old and tired. Lots of chipped paint and not many powerpoints in the room. None at the desk where I needed to work. In need of updating!
