I wasn't aware that we get a free breakfast. I paid for ours. ?? I ordered my breakfast first and received mine last. Even for dinner, i ordered my kid's meals first, but I received them last and overcooked. The service/staff were nice. The rooms were very tidy and clean, considering the age of the building. It was a lovely stay overall. Process of checking in and out was straight forward and easy.

This is a grand old hotel just oozing with historical charm. All the staff were enthusiastically willing to please. The only down side was the accessibility. While there is a lift to access the floors, there were also stairs WITHIN the rooms which were difficult for my elderly parents to negotiate. That aside, the hotel was above expectations.

The Shamrock hotel is always a lovely piece of history to visit. Great location and everything you need right on the premises. The rooms are large and the bathrooms renovated. I love it's old world charm and comfy bed.

We stayed here for 2 nights on level 3 We had kids running back and forth the hallway at around 9.45pm stomping their feet. Then Around 10.45pm we got woken up again by a knock and run, then got woken up again by an extended of time from people screaming and yelling. The carpet's got a big stain marked on the floor. Unfortunately we had an unpleasant stay.

Pro: Warm and friendly reception staff. Central location walkable distance. Perfect place if you’re staying for the annual tulip festival. It’s outside the door step. Easy to get to the hotel if you’re coming by train. Great parks and restaurants around the area. Loved the heritage decor. Cons: no private parking. Street parking only. The council parking was suppose to be accessible but due to public holiday weekend it was closed. The rooms are not sound proof, you can hear traffic from the street and also kids running around upstairs and crying late at night and early morning . Which made our stay restless.
