A beautiful, historic building in the centre of town. Rooms were of good size and comfortable.

Once a grand old hotel, Shamrock is a tad tired. Be prepared for a pokies hotel although you don’t need to go through this area at all. Rooms were clean and light. For the centre of city it was quiet and so close to eateries. No complaints

We stayed in a superior room. Faults -single bed needs to be replaced with a king single, bed is to small for an adult. Chairs need recovering and resprung, bathroom door did not close properly. Cheap plastic toilet seat and mismash of furniture in the room. Cheap cupboard was stuck in the corner for clothes and no luggage rack for suitcase . Whilst there was some attempt at retaining the heritage features of the room, however the room needs a total upgrade showcasing the heritage of the Shamrock Hotel. The room itself was too small to be considered a superior room and was really a small where a bathroom had been created in a corner. Very disappointed as the Shamrock has become a sad old lady with great potential. Very sad and neglected.

Breakfast took almost 45 minutes to come, very disappointing- no compensation for the wait. The bedroom was small, not furnished well and bed very uncomfortable

The property was beautiful and the bed one of the most comfortable we have had in an accommodation in a very long time. The only think we didn't enjoy was the noise from the beer garden until past 2am when we had to be up at 7am.
