We ate in the Hops cafe, the staff were amazing and the breakfast menu fantastic. Room was clean, but there was 3 of us and only 2 sachets of coffee, 2 cups, 2 towels, basically set up for 2 people, even though they knew 3 of us were staying. We had booked a king room, they first checked us into a room with 2 single beds, we had to ask for the proper amount of required necessities for 3 people. The lights were half not functioning. They claimed to supply toiletries but the containers were empty. The Linen was just a sheet over the doonah. Our King bed was two king singles pushed together so I had to sleep on the dived of the beds where they were pushed together.

I was travelling for a conference at The Alfred Hospital and chose The View because of the closeness to the hospital. I arrived later in the evening and the staff were helpful, efficient and obliging. My room was on the 8th floor - unfortunately no view but that was not an issue for me. The room was very clean and spacious although some repairs were necessary - toilet door came back onto my knees while sitting and the door was warped from the moisture however, these are just superficial irritations. Fridge space is very limited. My 2 day stay was comfortable. Room service was prompt and tasty. Breakfast was not included however, there was adequate options from which to choose. Saturday night i ate at the restaurant - food was nice but my meat was quite chewy but cooked the way i requested. The young lady serving was knowledgeable and helpful but limited interaction when trying to leave at the end of the meal. Other than those tiny little remarks, i would definitely stay there again if i needed to be in that vicinity on my next business trip. I had thought there was a pool but this is not the case for at least 2yrs!

Well we went out the sexond day and upon return at 4.30pm room had still not been made up. When we took the lift up, the doors jammed and wouldnt open on the 7th floor...took lift down then up n it did it again, partner was quicken shaken thinking we would be stuck in the lift...had to take lift up a floor n take stairs down to our floor...and grouting in bathroom/shower poor and dirty/moldy. When room done, dirty cups not replaced with clean or coffees n milk topped up..pretty Disappointing as usually stay here and used to be better

We had a wonderful stay at The View Hotel St Kilda. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and offered a beautiful outlook. It was quiet at night and the bedding made for a very restful sleep. We will definitely book this room again. We enjoyed a great meal and drinks at the Hops Bar and loved being able to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. The buffet breakfast was excellent and I really appreciated that, as a vegetarian, the baked beans were paired with the hash browns rather than a meat dish. Every staff member we encountered was kind and welcoming which made our stay even better. Overall, a lovely experience and highly recommended.
