Property was very clean and staff were pleasant. Furniture and fittings dated but comfortable. Tram outside the door. We were very disappointed that the cafe/restaurant has not been open for years, despite being advertised on the website. The staff had no suggestions of where we could eat at breakfast as the two cafes nearby were not suitable for kids.

Bed was terrible. Shower was a little small. Couch was uncomfortable and tv was not viewable from the bed. No smoke detector installed in the room. Heater and fridge worked well. Overall cleanliness was good.

The Courtyard was quite nice and would be a relaxing place to sit. The only negative was the dinning room/ cafe was closed and we coudn't get meals

The Metropole ticks all of my needs it is so clean yes the rooms need updating with furniture etc but it’s comfortable. The proximity to restaurants and shopping is excellent. I highly recommend this property
