The rooms were a nice size and the views were fine. One of the elevators was broken the entire time so it took a long time to be able to get up and down to our eighth floor. The biggest problem we had with this stay was that we kept requesting service to our room and we were never given any cleaning service, clean towels, etc. We made several requests and finally had to make a request at 11:30 at night and wait for them to come bring new towels to our room near midnight. Our toilet was broken and we kept asking for somebody to come take a look at it and throughout our four day stay no one ever came to fix that. I am a titanium member and I expected much better service than this. Overall it was average.

Very close to Manchester Picadilly station, so you can easily walk to and from the station. Great bathroom with everything you would need but one of the towels I found was dirty unfortunately. Spacious room, very comfortable. Proximity to city hotspots.

Not quite a typical Marriott stay

This Marriott well situated to Manchester Piccadilly station and shops, bars, and restaurants. Neighborhood itself not the best, being so close to a major transportation hub (bit of a trade off). A couple of issues: Room was nice and big; hallways carpeted deeply enough that it was a bit difficult to pull roller bags and my (upgraded) room was as far from the elevators as possible. One of two guest elevators was not working and signs indicated it wouldn’t be repaired for a week-every time it stopped, it was jammed. After three unsuccessful attempts to jump on with bags, finally realized best tack was to go up to come down. Last thing: a small item was left from a previous guest -just a razor cover in the shower- but should have been caught by housekeeping. Great front desk staff and for one overnight, it was fine.

The room was clean and spacious, what spoilt it was the uncomfortable bed and awful pillows. One of the lifts was out of order so waiting for the one lift in a very busy hotel was tedious

Pretty basic for the price

Generally the hotel was ok..There are 2 lifts to use, but only one was working. We weren't told about this until we went up to our room, so one lift between the whole building was a bit of a nightmare at times. You could be waiting a while if it was full every time it stopped. Allegedly this had been out of order for 5 days. Also breakfast time could do with being extended to about 10am, as everyone seems to rush to get in which causes people waiting around for quite a while to be seated.
