Allowed early check in. Service was mixed the staff all seemed not bothered/not super attentive. Main issue was that the lift was broken and took over 30 mins to get downstairs. Location v convenient to the station.

Quick smooth check in, Carpark details were handed over. Make sure you enter the code rather than search. Had to use stairs because they were having a tough day with both lifts out of action. They were working when we got back later. Room was a delux double. Plenty buggy enough for us. Bathroom clean and this works toiletries. Kettle and tea making facilities in the room. Fridge. Safe. Small table and chair. Shower and bath in a long and thin bathroom. Worked well.

Great and will stay again. Only downside was our neighbour who didnt understand that we could hear them so should keep their volume down a little. But they were very roudy so cant blame the hotel for that, had we have complained to the desk im sure they would have said something to the guests.

Great location , very clean

Lovely hotel , staff when checking in were very friendly and helpful , although staff in the evening weren't commuicating with each other properly , we asked one staff member what time food in the bar was being served until and they advised us it was still on , so we quicky went through the menu to order only to get to the bar to order and they said it had stopped over 45 mins ago ,but i suppose this was also our fault , we should of checked earlier on in the day knowing we were going to get back late , other than that the room was lovely and clean , I would stay at the hotel in the future

So So Marriot.

The old McDonald hotel is reborn as the Marriot. Spruced up a little bit. Exercise room not as good as the pictures. Soundproofing not great - I could hear noise from the hallways and the trains starting about 4am. Trains were not enough to wake me but if I woke up they were loud enough to make it hard to get back to sleep. Newer hotels are close by.

Pleasant Stay

The hotel was amazingly clean and tidy. The personell/staff were very helpful and friendly. However, we wish there was a way to turn off the heating in the room, as one of us had to keep getting up through the night to turn it off. We also were a bit disappointed at the lack of dairy free alternatives when we went down for breakfast (no dairy free milk/yoghurts ect). The rest of the selection for breakfast was amazing, plenty of food and drink to choose from.

A lovely, clean spacious room. Beds were very comfy and there was plenty of space for luggage. We were on the side of the main road so there was some traffic noise, but not enough to disturb sleep.
