STAY HERE NOT EASY HOTELS

First of all, I moved to this Hotel after leaving Easy Hotel Manchester, the later was appalling. If you want somewhere comfortable stay here, rooms have all facilities, unlike Easy Hotel. This is a proper Hotel, your room has everything you need, heater, hairdryer, fan, TV, kettle, coffee, tea, sugar. Cups, and Glasses, unlike Easy Hotel, that has none of these. Breakfast is available at check in, or you can pay when you go down. Reception staff were very helpful.

On arrival Check in was protracted. Needed to show ID for two adults and one 16 year old. No ID, no room. Why? Our room, 530, on first impression, was good. It was on two floors! Unfortunately the noise from the room above was constant, all night. Thumping sound on the floor, not helped by creaky floor boards. We went back on Saturday morning to catch up on list sleep, but the noise from above was the same. When talking to reception. I was patronised. Apparently she talked to the manager, and I should let them know if it continued. I stressed it had been constant since check in. Both nights were sleep deprived. No idea what was going up there, but the hotel were in no way going to stop it/investigate. A few other things. Bed side light phone didn’t work and no hotel bar. The adjoining bar is for 18 . No good when there are two 16 year olds in the party.

Hotel is centrally located and a short walk from city centre attractions. Very good value for money. The hotel is in ok condition - bar very good. Rooms and some hallways are a bit tired and bed not overly comfortable but acceptable. Would stay again.

We stayed 3 nights at the Britannia. After a long flight, we checked in very late (passed midnight) and got a very pleasant welcome. Staff are polite and helpful. The place dates from the Victorian era, do not expect state of the art everything... But if you enjoy the beauty of this era, this hotel has it. Breakfast was good, lots of choices - typical hotel food, very decent. Room, shower and bathroom were clean. The only thing was not face clothes available, had to be creative! Overall, very satisfied, price was right and people were nice! We had issue with the room card, which they solved immediately, security at the main entrance made us feel safe and welcomed. The location was great for us, we are walkers and a quick 10-15 minutes walk would take you to city center and Picadalli Gardens is just around the corner. Very easy to find food close by and two lovely bars within the facility. Thank you for sharing the beauties of this piece of art. Lovely stay as long as you do not expect 5 stars accommodations.

No parking, only at car park nearby. Bar shut at 7pm on Sunday not open Monday. No evening meal available. Breakfast was cold! Room was clean and very basic. Pillows were like tablets of stone.

Valentines stay at Britannia Manchester

The trip was good and hotel as I remember it from some time ago and location great for the plans we had. Checking in was unnecessarily delayed when pre checked in prior to stay that’s only criticism I had overlooking the confusion on the face of receptionist when two men are happy with a double bed and refused 2 singles.
