The Britannia Hotel in Manchester looks very grand but our room was less so. It was clean but was very basic and the bed had definitely seen better days. Only one pillow each and quite thin duvet. Dont forget your id as a lot if people queuing didn't realise they needed any and they were sticklers for it even insisting on a 14 year old with her parents showing photo id. All in all its basic and bit over priced for a room for one night and no breakfast.

I have to say what outstanding service from the guy on check in till the whole stay! I was given a free upgrade on check in which was very much appreciated! The staff cannot do enough for you, and I would definitely stay here again, I am having to stay over for work and will continue to stay here when in Manchester. Outstanding customer service!
