Beautiful rooms with terrible service

The room was incredible, really amazing, but the service was a joke. Ordered room service before kitchen closed but chef had knocked off so got veg soup which was disgusting, tried to get other things from menu but everything was sold out, wifi didnt work on my phone, no one helped bring my luggage to the room - carpets most of the way so quite a pain, front desk were rude always, no late check out (even 30 mins no) - all of this would be fine but its meant to be 5 star!! Shame as the room was something else ✔

Well presented spacious room

Great except they kept taking the ironing board from the room and had to request it be returned each day.

Comfortable hotel.

Pros: Proximity to transport. Easy to get around.
Cons: Refer to 'write about your experience' above.
Location: Great
The hotel was reasonably priced and in a great location. Room was clean and comfortable. However, bathroom flooded when running shower. Advised staff who didn't seem overly concerned. Staff did not always appear to have sufficient knowledge to respond to questions asked by visitors - e.g. best way to get to Gatwick? Reception staff were unsure and this surprised us.

This was a wonderful apartment.

The apartment is clean and a ten minute walk to the tube station. I would suggest you bring food with you if you plan to cook. This is a good base if you plan to spend a day in London and see a show in the West End. The distance means you can not just come and go. However knowing that you are staying in a clean and Quiet apartment means you get a good nights sleep for the next day. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous Converted Hotel

Pros: LOVED the actual hotel and the staff.
Location: Brick Lane (vintage and quirky shops), good clubs and nightlife. Not much touristy stuff on this side though.
Town Hall was an absolutely luxurious place to stay. The rooms were tastefully converted into a modern style, and they were large (we stayed in an apartment with a full kitchen and good-sized bathroom). The staff were very hospitable, and did anything they could to make our stay more comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and there were multiple choices of pillows on offer. The kitchen made it easy to cook our own dinner if we wanted, or there were several restaurants in the complex (as well as room service). Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to go to the heated pool, but it looked amazing. The location is quite urban and gritty (which is currently very trendy in London, but we were quite concerned at the start of our stay). Unfortunately everything we wanted to do at this stage of our stay in London was on the other side of London (e.g. Westminster Abbey, London Eye), and it was a 20-30 pound taxi ride away (we could have used the Tube, but we were kind of over it at that stage of our stay). They do offer a complimentary shuttle to the Bank station though (quite close to St Pauls Cathedral), so you can always use that in the morning to make it a bit cheaper.
