Very small room, even though it was meant to be a deluxe twin. Beds tiny and uncomfortable. Pillows uncomfortable. I had to sleep on a rolled up towel. Food was ok. Staff we spoke to were very nice. Pod was excellent getting to terminal 5..

This hotel was excellent in every way. The staff were so incredibly polite and friendly. I can’t single anyone out because this applied to each and every person. The gentleman in reception stood next to me whilst checking in and we laughed together about using technology. The room was very clean. Coffee, tea and biscuits were provided and both sugar and sweeteners. There were two biscuits as well. I went to the sports bar first and ordered a dark and stormy cocktail. It was delicious. Then I transferred to the Aviator Restaurant and had a delicious starter of some cauliflower bites with dips and finally fish chips and peas. This was first class. My food was piping hot. This is a rarity and I have to say that both those courses gave me one of the best meals that I’ve had recently . I was very impressed. It was dark when I went there but in the Summer the outdoor space overlooking the runway must be lovely. My room was comfortable and a pleasant temperature. It was also well soundproofed. The location was excellent. I didn’t use the pod not sure of the cost £8-9 each way I think? However, just getting the bus straight outside the entrance to terminal five was extremely easy. It’s number 423 and costs £1.75 each way. It comes around every 20-30 minutes. These prices are current January 25. For those who like to charge devices there were enough sockets in the room but on a desk not bedside. For the money I paid I thought it was excellent value. I

Great hotel, nice comfortable room, views of aircraft brilliant. Food and drink pricey but in line with others. Parking for overnight guests £18 this is not fair as staying 3 nights adds a lot to the cost of the stay.

Definitely not a fav place I’ve stayed at and won’t stay again. Before arriving I asked for a quiet room due to suffering insomnia. When I arrived I asked for a quiet room again. Got room 203. A bathroom vent which was extremely noisy kept me awake to 4 am ! Exactly the opposite of what I desperately needed. Had about 3.5 hours sleep before heading down for breakfast and getting the hell out. Reception staff seemed friendly enough but I’m not happy that my requests were not met. Especially as I paid to get upgraded to a king room and this hotel isnt at the terminal.You need to use the pods to get there ( easy though) Also they do a limited room service menu but only from 2.30-22. As I had flight delays there was no food other than a self service kiosk that sold snacks. A bar was open but wasn’t what I needed. Not convenient. Room wasn’t that clean ( few marks on the pillows) noisy bathroom vent and wasn’t rested or happy when I left!

If you need no frills, basic one night stay over hotel, this is it. Bus 423 from stand 6 outside terminal 5 gets you straight here for £1.75. Room is standard, walls are not soundproof. You can hear the planes which is cool and in the restaurant uou can see them take off. Nothing soecial about chrck in, there is no lift. So if you have heavy luggage request a room on the ground floor
