Stayed here overnight for an early flight. The room was clean and comfortable and was exactly what we expected. There is no drinking water provided in the rooms and the price at their kiosk is a bit extortionate but otherwise the hotel is as youā€™d expect for an airport hotel.

Early flight stopover

Stopover pre trip to Rome. We received a warm welcome, the room was well equipped and comfortable. Restaurant and bar were both very good and reasonably priced. The piece de la resistance was the pods to T5, fast efficient and much cheaper than a taxi. I canā€™t believe they are not mentioned in the hotel description. Thoroughly recommended

The hotel was convenient with a bus stop (even with luggage) outside linking T5. However the entrance was unsigned and difficult to locate from the roadway and a fair distance away to push suitcases. The restaurant is on first floor without lift access; it was uninspiring being long and narrow so fellow guests and staff constantly passing close to our table.

Our best visit so far

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Thistle and by far the best. We stayed in room 672 which is a suite and was huge, with 2 separate rooms and decent bathrooms. We ate in the bar but didn't go for the breakfast. And of course, the viewing area for the airport was fully open allowing us to spot planes, which is why we visited the hotel
