It’s a lovely place and in a really good position for Kew Gardens and walk into to Richmond. The staff were excellent and the hotel very cosy and warm. The only concern when we had dinner, I think they were short staffed and it took an hour for it to arrive. Other people commented the same upon leaving whilst we waited and one person decided not to wait for dessert as it was soo long.

Overall it was a nice stay. Comfortable, cosy and the room was nice, clean, shower worked well, Nespresso machine was good. We ate in the restaurant and the meal was ok but we're not overly impressed with the staff. The waitress serving us wasnt able to give us a list of the available soft drinks and seemed almost confused that we might ask for a soft drink and quite aloof/bordering on rude. Additionally there was a male who brought our room service order who was quite unpleasant. The whisky we ordered was not available. Instead of offering an alternative I was told to look at the app or go to the bar. I said there was only one whiskey on the app and he just looked mad and said "well I don't know how the app works I've never used it" and seemed like he was trying to run away. I went to go to the bar as the app only lists the one out of stock whisky. At the bar, after I ordered my whisky he asked if I needed help and handed me the food order to carry myself instead of delivering it as room service as it was ordered. I was able to manage but it didn't feel like he actually wanted to help. Also he sneezed in his hand when he was working behind the bar and continued working without washing his hands. Overall he was very standoffish and couldn't be bothered.

Stayed 2 nights with my daughter as it was her 21st and we were going to see a show. Lovely room, very cosy and welcoming. Plenty of milk, coffee and tea. Hairdrier, iron and toiletries. Housekeeping staff were lovely as was the lady when we checked out. Other staff not attentive when we wanted to check-in. We walked through the bar to reception, nobody acknowledged us (Wednesday evening so not packed). Waited and could see staff looking at us but nobody approached us.....we had to go and ask. Same again when checking out.....staff saw us but didn't even acknowledge us, let alone inform us someone would be with us. The lady that checked us out was very lovely though and definitely an asset. Thank you to her.

This is such a beautiful property and so convenient to Kew Gardens. The room was comfortable and lovely. Most of all, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Loved our stay!

Cute pub/hotel

Stayed the one night for a visit to Kew Gardens. Hotel is a lovely pub located perfectly for visitors of the Gardens. Tube is nice and close by too so was easy to get to with over night bags. Receptionist was lovely and really helpful. We arrived well before check in, so they took our bags in to the luggage store and then moved them to our room for when we returned. We stayed on the ground floor, rooms were beautiful and so quiet, would not think you were staying in a pub. We only booked for bed only but had dinner on the sunday afternoon and was 10/10. Portions for sunday lunch are very generous, couldn’t finish it all. Room service app was a bit hit and miss so ended up calling down for it instead. Would definitely recommend this pub/hotel for anyone visiting the area. Appreciated the air-conned room as we stayed on a very warm weekend. Would definitely book again if we are in the area.
