The pool was closed- even the area. We just wanted to sit in the sun. We actually went to a nearby hotel to do just that. The resort fee was questionable as there were no resort features (not even a pool) you don’t get with a regular hotel stay, and we checked in after midnight Friday night/Saturday morning and were still charged for Friday’s resort fee. It took 45 minutes to check in. The bed was very uncomfortable- you could hear the springs creak, and the water pressure was low. The bar soap didn’t even foam, and the towels were scratchy.
It was clean. I loved the location, and I loved that it was nonsmoking.
I suggest removing the resort fee and just raise the room cost to include those charges; that way you will have fewer complaints about that. I would’ve paid that and have been less disappointed. Use it as a marketing tag- “And no reset fees!” You’d get more reservations, and people would be happier. Then it just comes down to better beds and towels and bars of soap.
