Where in the world can you drive a racecar, swim with sharks (safely) and rub elbows with celebrities at world-class nightclubs? If Las Vegas isn’t your first guess on this one, well, you may be living under a rock. We know every city says this, but holidays to Las Vegas are the only ones that truly have it all.
Most of the action is centred around the Strip, 7km of entertainment of all types (seriously—all types) on Las Vegas Boulevard. When Wotif’s Las Vegas flights land at McCarran International Airport (LAS), you’re just 5km away from everything. Many hotels run airport shuttles and transportation to other popular spots, and there are always taxis, buses and your own two feet.
No matter when flights to Las Vegas land, there’s sure to be something going on in “Sin City”. In the morning, hit the buffet! Who are we kidding—any time is a good time to hit the buffet.
After you fuel up, bust out that credit card for a shopping spree or get to gambling. Catch some afternoon rays and a nap at the pool. You’re gonna need it! From spectacular shows to celebrity-worthy nightclubs, the nighttime is the right time in Vegas.
If you just can’t pull yourself away from the glitz of the Strip, we understand. But Las Vegas hotels downtown are near some charms of their own. Try on brass knuckles and do your best New York accent (“You lookin’ at me?”) at the Mob Museum, head to the arcade or get a taste of old-school Vegas at the Neon Museum.
Wotif’s cheap flights to Las Vegas leave you plenty of cash to indulge your other vices. Whether that’s putting 20 on red at the tables, sipping cocktails by the pool all day or rocking out to Cher’s musical extravaganza is up to you—we won’t tell anyone.

Here’s an insider tip: Sunday is typically the cheapest day to fly! Looking at flight demand on Wotif in 2019, we found that flights departing on a Sunday generally had the lowest average price, closely followed by flights on a Monday. You might want to think twice about flying on a Saturday too; generally, our data showed that it had the highest average ticket price.
Guess what? Boring old Wednesday really is the best day to score the cheapest plane tickets. Looking at flight demand on Wotif in 2019, we found that flights purchased on a Wednesday had the lowest airfares on average. Booking your plane ticket on a Sunday also seems to score pretty good deals. However, airfares purchased on a Saturday generally have a higher than average ticket value, so you might want to prepare your budget if you’re booking on a weekend.
When comparing airfares booked through Wotif in 2019, our data shows October is one of the cheapest months to fly. On the other hand, the December holiday period can be one of the most expensive times to travel, with the highest average ticket price, so it’s best to get in early during peak periods.
Trying to figure out how early you should book your flight? It’s possible to start comparing international airfares on Wotif up to 12 months in advance. However, it does depend on the carrier as not all airlines release their prices that far out. According to Wotif’s 2019 flight demand trends, last minute planners can still bag a bargain with some of the cheapest airfares appearing 1-3 weeks prior to travel.
Looking for clever ways to save on your next trip? Try mixing and matching airlines and fare types. Our data tells us, travellers who booked flights on Wotif in 2019 saved close to 55% off their airfare, when their return flights consisted of two different airlines or fare types.

I loved the strip view from the room we booked and the full-length windows! Probably the highlight of the room. The room itself including the bathroom was super spacious. The bed was super comfortable. There was a coffee machine and fridge which was great to have. The only issues I had was that the ...
Location was fine .. close to food, drink and anything else you’d need .. and a 15 minute walk from the strip. The room was fine as well but the casino and bar/eateries were below par.
We loved the location and the clean room and the kindness and service on the people, If we come back which we will we will stay at y our Travel Lodge. Thank you. ZHWaymire
Situated near the airport, this hotel is within a 15-minute walk of University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Thomas and Mack Center and Hard Rock Casino. OYO Hotel and Casino and Tropicana Las Vegas Casino are also within 2 miles (3 km). MGM Grand Monorail Station is 23 minutes by foot.
The pool wasn’t very nice. The hall ways smell like smoke. No bar fridge in room, no information book. No complimentary water. Over priced food and water in casino. The buffet was bad.
The venue it’s self was conveniently joined to Mandalay bay where we were attending a 3 day business conference and was able to just walk through the casino to get there so that was convenient. Overall it was clean and tidy. The things I didn’t like The rooms were a good size but could be updated, ...
Staff were very polite and helpful but not intrusive. We went for the two bed suite and it was well laid out - good privacy for each room. Food options a t the Rose were minimal and I feel they could do a little better here. But your close to the some cheap family restaurants (3 min walk) and Hooters. ...
Great self contained apartment - perfect for families wanting kitchen facilities. Easy walking to explore the main attractions of the downtown Las Vegas
I LOVED THE LOCATION ON THE STRIP JUST FAR ENOUGH TO FEEL REMOVED FROM ALL THE CASINOS.SELF PARKING WAS GREAT .
spacious rooms, close to shopping outlet and food places, shuttle bus to places, lazy river was fun, pool was good, and many things to do at the hotel.
