It was picture perfect. Other than a small glitch getting in (which could just as well have been user error), it was wonderful. And they were quick to respond and help with the glitch. The digs were beautiful, clean. Plenty of extras I didn't have to worry about (coffee pods, filters, condiments for sandwiches/cooking). I spent most of my time inside (which wasn't much) on the recliner, covered by a very fuzzy blanket, in front of the fireplace, listening to the waves crash just steps away. When I come back to Oregon, this is where I'm staying.

Comfortable place, all the kitchen supplies you could ever need, quiet, feels so secluded, right on the beach, cozy bedroom, exceptional views of dunes and ocean, hospitable hosts. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Property and Location are Marvelous

We stayed 4 nights at Whales Watch. We found the property clean, and VERY well equiped to cook or bake. We felt like we were in our own house. The location, just steps from Haceta Beach can't be beat, we could take a walk on the beach several times a day and totally exhaust our dogs. It is also located an easy drive a many coastal hikes and tourist sites to help fill the days when you want to be more active than beach combing. BUT the best is just relaxing at the property enjoying ocean sounds and views.

Well Rested Stay

It was just as pictured and advertised, right on the beach in a nice quiet neighborhood. The property was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed it immensely. We were in the middle of a four week vacation and used this week to rest and relax on the beach. It was absolutely great!! If we get to this region again, we will stay here again. We both loved it!!

Great Place to unwind

The weather was awesome! Except for some wind on a couple of the days. But all in all it was a great time. The house was clean when we arrived, and it is steps from the ocean. A wonderful place to stay and the owner even was kind enough to send us a watch that we left behind. I highly recommend this place!

Great beach stay

This is such a cute and clean little place right next to the beach. You can literally walk right out the door and onto the sand. No neighbor to one side which is amazing. Great views! They had everything you could need.

Whales Watch felt welcoming as soon as we walked in. Everything you can think of is provided, from the incredibly well stocked kitchen to the comfort and warmth of the king sized bed. The personal touches of the decor are wonderful and the view of the ocean is exactly what we needed for our getaway. Thank you so much!

Loved it!!

Perfect vacation getaway. This was a little home away from home with so many extras included. Fully stocked kitchen, from waffle maker to blender and ice in the freezer. Washer, dryer, extra linens and blanket to ensure a cozy stay. We were right on the beach and could hear the ocean while fixing dinner then went down to put our toes in the sand with the chairs they provided! I have told family and friends about this place and will be visiting again!

Great location, right on the beach!

Graciously appointed, just like the comforts of home! Extremely comfortable, large bed; super comfy chairs. Kitchen has every utinsel you may need, (could use a crab cracker, though) ! Pet friendly, just the PERFECT get-a-way!

Amazing oceanfront property in Florence

Everything was top-notch. Very clean, easy check-in, great communication with the host. The apartment is wonderfully appointed with just about anything you could think of. The kitchen was highly functional, and we cooked all our meal -- didn't eat out once. There is a Keurig coffee setup and various teas provided, as well as basic cooking supplies like spices. The living room is great to wind down in -- and if you're a reader like I am, the room is wonderfully lit for reading. There are board games and DVDs. The bedroom is spacious with a king bed -- firm but not hard, and the bedlinens are high-quality, very comfy. The beach access is hard to beat -- just open the sliding glass door, step off the gravel, and there is the sandy path to the water. The view over the dunes from the living room and kitchen is stunning. There are so many incidentals provided in this apartment, it's hard to remember all of them. There is a folding stepladder to assist those of us who are short reach the upper kitchen cabinets. There is a cocktail service area. There is a set of binoculars in case seals or whales swim by and you want a closer look. There is a washer/dryer should you need to do laundry. For warmer weather (my trip was in December) there are outdoor/beach recreation items like folding beach chairs, picnic setups. There is a secretary in the bedroom with stationery and writing implements, among other things one would keep in a typical desk. I will be back!

Whales watch

Great stay! Beautiful views and it was so great to walk out the door into the beach. It was sunny and the tides were high which was a real treat! Lovely house and great amenities. Thanks for letting us stay!
