Don’t stay anywhere but Hotel Rome!

We did not stay in the main hotel. Our building was very old and needed a lot of repairs. We did not have hot water the whole weekend. The water park itself was good, but what they advertise as a free indoor play park is mostly games and machines you have to pay for. The also said their light show walk went through the end of January and it really ended the first weekend. Disappointed as we have 4 littles for a get away during the winter.

My room that we reserved was given to someone else. They then tried to "upgrade" to a room with a regular bunk but with an autistic child, that elopes, the bunk was by the door behind a wall. I expressed this not work for us but they did nothing. Someone called in the morning to check in, said they were giving a credit (for use on site) and looking for our correct room. I had to leave for a funeral, heard nothing all day. Got back & took the kids swimming. Staff not paying attention, multiple kids falling from water pooling in many places. Staff seen it, looked away. Adults only hot tub was filled with small children most of the day. Went to use to "credit" since it could not be put back on my card, ordered and no credit available. When reaching back out to find out what took place, was told I was lying then was told I used the credit to upgrade my room. All in which I never agreed to a different room but was forced into it. When you stay here, you are to get tickets for top secret, ghost outpost, lost temple, and Christmas mountain. However, if you don't book directly they tell you that you're not qualified. Online shows nothing of these requirements. As for the cleanliness, expect bedding that is stained, beds with no support, no sound barrier so you hear the outside and every movement from rooms around you. Windows that leak cold air and a door that doesn't close tight (rattles every time someone opens and closes doors). Can't reach Nick or Eva(the owners) to discuss.

Horrible communication all the way around. Had to figure out how to check out on my own. The walls are so thin you could hear everytime someone coughed, dropped something, open a door. I had inquired about late check out since we were here for a tournament and kept getting an error screen, and nothing changed in my reservation details and never got a confirmation so we checked out at normal time, the hotel still charged us for late check out a day later. And driving off property just to go to the hotel pool is inconvenient.

It was not clean at all. The hallways looked like they have never been vacuumed. The room was ok but had a distinct not clean smell. The water park was extremely crowded and the staff did not enforce the written rules. I will find a different hotel to stay at for my next stay in the Dells.

great for the money

The hotel was really good, room was nice and big, clean the only problem was internet access - it was so slow we were not able to do anything, but other than that it was really nice, kids had a blast and we will probably use it again in the future

Booked a room that said it was on site I told and it wasn’t I told them I know I booked like that cuz of handicap person w us they did switch our rooms for a fee and wasn’t nice. You were only allowed to grab one towel and none for the others..they made each person come n get a towel. Could not get ahold of front desk at all!!! Person above us was very loud. There’s no free coffee or breakfast for the amount that you pay here there should be. Very dissatisfied

Didn't expect my room to be a mile away from mt Olympus watermark and there was two separate rooms for my kids,when they were suppose to be right next to each other. One of the rooms had a weird smell, people above us were doing so much noise and Expedia doesn't explain anything when your booking a hotel..

Major upgrades are needed throughout their hotels. Grundgy, loud, unsafe. The doors stayed open at all hours. The herd of elephants above us made it impossible to sleep and no change after calling security. You can hear everything, noise in the hallway, side rooms and above you. The water park was fun, well kept. We've been there in the summer when lines are 3-4 hours long so it was extremely nice to have a 10 min wait this time around. I would recommend going once but I think it'll speak for itself on going for a second.
