staff that checked in was not great (couldn't figure out how to check in and told me nothing about the resort- so we used none of the facilities- we didn't even get wifi info). Staff that heard the complaint about shower was great. she was responsive-upgraded the room. The issue was an old bathroom- Could NOT take a shower because of water pressure was unusable for disabled-barely a trickle. TV did not show anything about hotel.

However, the whole hotel needs brand new carpet. It would make a difference. Still feels like "Margaritaville" which is cool decor, but miss the old Riviera years ago. Needs some TLC.

This hotel is getting tired. Room door falling off, lights that didn't work, heater didn't work, plug sockets covered by bed frame. Food in the restaurant was good though and the pool area was OK too.

There was a lot of overhead noise. There was no hand soap in the bathroom and no trash can in the room. Breakfast and coffee were poor quality.

Nice looking lobby and grounds. However.,No towels, soaps, toilet paper, body soap or shampoo. Slippers for 1 person only. Heater in room not working. Noisey room facing busy hwy road. Service dog not allowed in restaurant. Wanted a better located room, offered a downgrade at my expensive but after going to front desk, it wasn’t honored. 😆 Aloof and sarcastic guest service rep “David”.

The front desk person or manager, Amelia, was incredibly rude. I was exhausted with one sleeping child and another sleepy child checking in late. She took her time with the customer in front without regard for others in line. When she got to us, she immediately turned to the other staff person to tell him something. When I told her that we would appreciate streamlining the check in process, she sneered that she needed to train. Oddly, I didn’t see her training when she was checking in the people before and taking a long time. But she felt the need to slow our process to “train.” Subsequently, she was cold and clearly rude. Even when I went outside, I felt someone looking. I looked inside and saw her staring at me and my small child as we tried to figure out how to get our luggage and my sleeping child into the room. Definitely one of the most uncomfortable check in experiences I have had in a very long time, if ever. Amelia can possibly train in other areas, but should not train in hospitality. Treating favored customers with warmth but those that are going through a tough moment with clear rudeness and absolute thoughtlessness is not good hospitality overall. I know the employee market is tough these days and Amelia will likely remain in her position without performance guidance. I provided this feedback only upon request.
