Warm and welcoming team. Kaila was very hospitable ans welcoming. The only recommendation: would be better if more utensils are i clused in the apartments with kitchen. Eg: there were no lids for the two pans that were in the apartment.

After arriving we noticed a smell in the room, spoke to reception,who did not seem interested. Smelt like a dog had been in the room. Disappointed no 2nd TV.

Easy and quick check in. The lady on reception had upgraded my room which was a nice surprise . The 5 in our group all gathered in my room to have coffee and chat about the days graduation ceremony at the uni. I called for additional cups and milk and these arrived promptly .

The guy at the reception wasn't nice. He was fast to say that we had to pay an extra NZ$20 for the parking (not mentioned anywhere online) and that breakfast was not included as well (again, not mentioned online). We felt like he was bothered with our appearance at the hotel. Other than that, the room was clean and comfortable. No complaints.

The website stated that the standard room came with a bathtub, but I was told that I would only get a room with a bathtub if I had made a request. (There was no mention anywhere on the website that a request was required.) The woman at the front desk was polite and apologetic, but the woman who seemed to be the manager had an unbelievably rude attitude, completely lacking in hospitality — she was so unprofessional that it was hard to believe she worked at a hotel.

Staff go above and beyond to help the guests, extremely impressed by the extra efforts that staff went to when an elderly couple in the restaurant needed assistance, big shout out to Nancy (hope I got her name right) with helping this couple out, and while doing so she didn't miss a beat with attending to the rest of the guests. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Not sure about the trend of hotels charging ($20) for parking. Do they think you teleported there? Anyway, great staff, nice room and good value. Had a beer and fries in bar, great value. Window in room had tiny gap due to latches not being quite right, when mentioned it was taken seriously and another room was offered - excellent service. Have stayed before, will stay again.
