It was quite evadent that the hotel struggled with low number of staff to cope with the high occupantcy. It was difficult to get a table at breakfast and the kitchen struggled to keep the buffet stocked. We opted to pay for meals in town as a result. I suspect this is a result of covid so understand. Rooms were tidy but nit much noise insulation from the hallwsy. We had booked and confirmed a king bed but had 2 doulble beds. Staff were friendly and helpfull and location was good. Overall with the price we paid we were happy with our stay.

There is no sound proofing on the room doors, so you can hear everything going on in the hallways e.g. some kids were running up and down them until midnight for exercise. The information in the room booklet is that the downstairs bar closes at 10pm, but it actually closed at 9pm so at 9:05pm we got told it had closed and had to order room service instead and pay an extra 4.50.

Overall OK experience. I reserved a garden facing room and we got a room that felt like a basement. We can only see the sides of the pool. On the morning of our last day, the bathroom smelled like sewage. I have to leave the vent on for a while. When I checked out, they charged me for the wifi (4 days worth) when the booking stated free wifi. They reversed the charge after I questioned it. I would not want to go back even if the bar and restaurant has sweeping views of lake Wakatipu.

Great views, not too far from town. Love that it has a spa sauna and pool. Breakfast is good. The downside restaurant food was poor and the service in the restaurant was slow and poor. Not enough parking. Other than in the restaurant the service was excellent.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. Hanoor stayed back after his shift to find a remote control for our TV that was playing up, he also noticed us walking to town after our long trip and offered us a ride in to town which was so wonderful of him. Eva was super nice and accommodating, Hayley and Josh were also running a super tight ship. The Bathroom need a Reno and a few things are a bit worn but I hear they are doing a big face lift. All in all it was a beautiful stay with outstanding views and Staff. Thanks Jimmi
