Excellent location. Property is a bit tired, carpet in the hallways need a change. Staff are excellent but no one answers their phone even though I tried many times and all the different areas. No answer from anyone. Breakfast buffet is excellent, rooms are nice, beds are very nice, bathroom bit small.

On the first night, there was no hot water. After asking the front desk, they said the water heating system wasn’t hot enough and that they were fixing it. We waited for an hour before we could finally take a shower with hot water. Another day, there was a complete water outage, and the hotel didn’t inform guests in advance. The shower water was also unstable — sometimes hot, sometimes cold — probably because the equipment is too old. However, the hotel staff and location were both excellent.

Stay was ok, Room was nice with a nice veiw of the lake. We had to wait over an hour to check in, our check in time was 2pm but the room wasn’t ready until after 3. This was frustrating as it was pouring with rain outside and we were waiting with kids. Probably wouldn’t stay here again because of that.

The location is great. But the property is crazy in need of a clean up and renovation. The paints peeling off the walls, towel rails broken, noisy and just not great. A curtain shower etc. all things that are first world but at a premium price you’re paying for location and not hotel. If this hotel was anywhere else it wouldn’t be able to charge these prices so they are riding it as long as they can. Novotel group really need to take a look at the brand reputation. But all in all a great location, fairly friendly staff but really bad rooms.

Great location but worn down.

Lovely convenient location but the property is very dated and could do with a refresh and some additional sound proofing. The beds were really comfortable and great water pressure in the showers. However every day our key cards do our room stopped working, sometimes twice a day and we had to keep going back to reception to get new ones - this was so frustrating when we were tired, or carrying shopping or it was late at night. We were never offered any remedy or compensation for the repeated inconvenience either.
