We had the "upper end" of the types of accommodation on offer and loved it. A two bedroom ensuite apartment. Great views, spacious, private parking.

The room use to be the porch area in an old building that had been covered and made into a small single bedroom. The window was two panes of single glaze sliding glass with a 5mm gap in between. Rats or mice running around in the ceilings. The room is in the middle of shared bathroom and toilet on the other side. Doors slamming and noise all night. Terrible!!

Rooms spotless. Beds sooo comfortable. Soaps and shampoo provided of good quality. Communal bathrooms very good standard. Extremely good value for the price we paid and 10 mins walk to the Queenstown tourist centre. BIGGEST negative!! 4 stars from me cos Walls are paper thin. You can hear the quiet conversations people have in the next room till late which was quite disturbing to get some sleep. God forbid you hear noises you don’t want to hear. Bring ear plugs. We were there for 3 nights. Communal bathrooms remained uncleaned and messy for 3 nights. Cleaning of it would be nice.

Happy with the private bathroom. The room was basic but clean. Glad to have our own private carpark. Pinewood is close to the gondola; so it's in a convenient location. It's pricey for what you get (compared to Tasmania where we're from). But everything's overpriced in Queenstown.

Clean, good facilities, large room, kitchen and living was comfortable. Would have liked to be able to stay in common room post check out whilst waiting for flight as the website said when booking but this wasnt really available except for sitting at reception. Reception staff were really nice but other staff around the site very impersonal.

Clean warm rooms, comfortable bed, nice clean white sheets and the cleanest shared bathroom I have ever seen. I was really impressed with the cleanliness. We stayed in both the basic room which was the cheapest, and the next room up which had the bunk beds plus a double bed. Would recommend the one with the bunk bed (N block) as has less rooms/ people in that block so is a bit quieter. The kitchens were well equipped with plenty of space, and also designated space (by room number) in the fridges. The staff were really lovely and helpful. For Queenstown prices we felt that represents good value for the price. A very good comfortable place to stay for budget conscious travellers.

Our room was not ready when we arrived at 3pm for check in. We were told it might be another 1 - 1 1/2 hrs. It was pouring with rain and we had no where to go. We had to stand and wait for an hour in the crowded reception. There was no apllogy from staff or offer of a warm dry place to wait. When we eventually got into our room, the TV wasn’t working properly. We reported this to the staff at reception who just said it was probably due to the rain. He made no attempt to send anyone to look at it. 2 days later the tv was still not working so we told another staff member, who did send someone to look and fixed it. Overall the stay was disppointing due to poor service, and having to wait a long time to get into our room.

Great option for staying in Queenstown. Location is great as it’s close to the city core but very quiet. We stayed in a cabin unit and had everything we needed for the stay in the unit. The only 2 things we disliked was how small the bathroom sink was, and how tight the parking area was. Other than that, we had a nice stay at Pinewood.

The staff were very nice and helpful. One parking lot is provided, but our room was quite a distance from the entrance, and it's not paved (full of pebbles). The room was a little run-down as well (wooden cupboard peeling off, sofa bed was creaking a lot). The cooking area was small, and the dining table was tiny (enough space for only 2 people). Some of us had to stand while eating. Overall it was a peaceful and comfortable stay, but with a few inconveniences.

Toilet did not flush properly. Drain sluggish. Room neat and clean. Biggest problem is parking. It is a disaster. The car park for my unit had six spaces for twelve rooms. Space on the street hard to find. If biking or hiking this motel is fine but I do not recommend if you have a car!
